Bond-Wroten Eye Clinic

Great eye care. I just love Dr. Paddock. He has excellent bedside manner and he listens. He is really funny and makes my visits easy and informative. The office staff is wonderful. They are always nice, polite and professional. They get you in and out in a timely manner. I will always recommend Bond Wroten for eye care. Thank You all for all you do!:-)

I do NOT Recommend! Made an appointment here as it was referred by a friend and they were listed as in network with my vision insurance. Front desk was nice and making an appointment was easy. Went in for my appointment and I felt Dr Paddock was professional and overall a good doctor but was seen by a student first who did a whole eye exam and the the Dr came in and did it all over again. I left with the most horrific headache from eye strain and them shining lights so much. My appointment lasted over an hour! I also found it strange that they did not provide me with a prescription for my contacts when I left. A few weeks later, I received a bill from them. I have had the same insurance plan and coverage for over 10 years and have never incurred a bill for an annual eye exam. I gave them a call and they billed me for a "contact fitting" that the clinic said I was responsible for. There was no adjustment or fixing to the exact same contacts that I have worn for over 10 years. I do not believe that the services i received qualified for billing this service. Aside from that they refuse to bill that service to my insurance. They tell me that that service can not be submitted to them. I called my insurance company and Bond roden has never sent a claim for this service to my insurance. I honestly feel that they try to bill this as a money grab; as if you are in network with an insurance plan, the entire claim should be submitted to them. When I called bond roden back to ask them to file the whole claim that they keep giving me the runaround that they can't submit it. I have worked in the medical industry for over twenty years and i've never seen where a claim cannot be submitted, even if it has to be by paper. I ended up reluctantly calling to pay my bill as they will not release your prescription until you pay them. I was also informed that if I were to ever return for an exam and want contacts I will continue to be charged the fitting fee. Disappointed by my experience with this clinic.

I am just going to say this.... I do not know of any businesses who will text you! The fact that you can text and schedule an appointment, text and someone will respond fairly quickly, text to find out if your glasses are ready just text period is freaking awesome! I have 4 kids that go here. I have 8 kids altogether things get hectic and sometimes I can't answer the phone. The convenience of texting, good service, quick appointments, professional but fun staff is amazing! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEWHERE TO BRING YOU KIDDOS FOR THEIR EYES COME HERE YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED

I recently took my son into their clinic, the staff was very friendly. I was extremely impressed that the wait time was not long at all. My son, who was skeptical as it was and being his first time at the eye doctor felt comfortable with the staff. Mr. Paddock was recommended to me by a co-worker and I was very happy. I would recommend someone as well.

UPDATE: I was finished about 12:20. That's almost 2 hours total. Maybe that seems reasonable, but for many working people, that is not an acceptable amount of time. I will say that everyone in the office was very kind and apologetic, but I see that while they were "backed up" it really was no different than my last few visits. One of the office ladies was very kind and offered to call me next time (since I work next door) when they were ready, but while that seems like a solution, it really has gone on too long. I'll still be finding a new office. I'm currently sitting in a room. I've been here since 10:27. It's now 12:00, and there is no end in sight. I likely have at least 20-30 more minutes of interaction with the Dr once he finally sees me. I have been a patient of this office for well over 7 years, and have always recommended them to friends and family. But, every time I've come for the past two years the wait has gotten worse with near zero apologies for it. Also, apologies only go so far when you make no effort to improve the root of the problem. This practice is stuffing people into their schedule. They obviously accept Medicaid, which is great! The problem is they aren't handling the volume well at all. The doctors always seem to care when you finally see them, and seem educated and passionate about their work. That is the only reason they're getting more than 1 star from me today. I'll be getting my prescription and ordering my glasses online. Also finding a new eye doctor. Patient time is valuable too. This is not a new problem. I can see that they have no interest in coming up with a solution or changing their process. So unless you have 2+ hours to spend for a routine eye check-up and glasses/contacts, find somewhere else to go.

Loved everything about my experience. Clean office, helpful staff, kind doctors that genuinely care and great selection of glasses to choose from. My favorite thing about my visit was that I was constantly moving. The longest I waited by myself was the 10min before they called me back. I love how everyone works together to keep the patient flow moving. Will be returning and have already recommended this office and Dr. Wroten to family.
