I'll give 2 stars. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the convenient of a same-day appointment. i called #1 u don't even speak to anyone at the store. It's a random call center. i called and specifically asked if they were in network with my fiancee insurance before we scheduled. they said they weren't, but they would honor the insurance fees. meaning we had to pay it out of pocket, but it would be our insurance fees. I was fine with that we would just file it ourselves to be reimbursed. i asked multiple times before hanging up you will honor insurance fees not cash fees he said yes. #2 Get to the store that of course was not the case. They don't file and its cash fees we can file ourselves but they're only going to pay back up to a certain amount because its out of network not them honoring insurance fees like they said over the phone. Said lets go ahead and do it so you don't have to miss another day of work, but we will just do the exam and bring your prescription to a different provider who files to the insurance and in network. #3 the exam is honestly a joke. you see a tech not a doctor. Then they put you in a room and a dr basically zooms in on a tv while you look through the lenses (the tech doesn't even stay in room to make sure your looking through the lenses correctly). Then you wait until the dr that was on video call makes your prescription. Btw the exam price was $79 theres other places in houma thats much cheaper and your see a dr. In person. this place is the most impersonal medical office i think i have ever been. The only up side is they will see you same day, but that's obviously because you wont be seeing a dr. In person. Btw our insurance was met life they were in network with some MetLife just not our plan, but put it out there like yea you have to pay out of pocket but your insurance fees not our cash fees(lie)

Very fast, professional. Helped a lot to make sure I found great looking frames that look good on me and shaped for my face. The staff even stayed a little late helping me which I was very grateful as I really needed new glasses for my new eye prescription. Will be back!!

Amber did a great job helping me get my contact and eye prescription. I saved over 300$ with the discount and only paid $180 for everything. They have amazing deals on contacts and glasses especially if you've previously bought with them. I can't wait to come back for my next visit.

Went in for the amazing deal that was advertised, of course that was not actually what the end cost was. It cost me over $300, not $79 ...that being said, I was OK paying that, as I was told that my glasses would arrive in no more than 10 to 14 days... just in time for my vacation! That didn't happen either, half the prescription showed up several days late. I attempted to call the store to inquire why they were not there... and that didn't happen, when you call the local number provided, you get sourced customer service, and can't actually talk to anyone in the store. The person I talked to was extremely rude, and was obviously speaking from a script they have for everyone that calls.

I bought two pair of glasses from Stanton and after 6 months the prescription started separating from my lens. I went to their store in Houma, LA and showed them. Their first question what did I clean them with. I told them the cleaner I bought from them. They stated that happens because of the heat and oils from my skin. Wanted to charge me 128 dollars to replace them. I have never had a pair of glasses do this. I feel their work was poor quality and that they didn't really care. Update to my review. I was contacted by Stanton Optical and advised that they would remake my lenses at no cost. Good to see that a company reads their reviews and cares about their customers. I have upgraded my review from 1 star to 4 stars. Would have given a 5 but feel my issue should have been resolved when I went into store.

Absolutely in LOVE with this eye doctor. They not only did they meet my expectations but they went above and beyond what I didn't know I needed. The assistant manager Whitney was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly whom made sure that I not only walked out with more than one pair of glasses but she saved me over $500 without insurance!!! I would hands down recommend this business to every single individual I know. From the moment you walk into the door to the second you leave every single employee makes sure you are taken care of and you feel at home.

The staff was very helpful and very nice! Was a very smooth and simple process. i will definitely be getting glasses from here again! they are amazing!!

I walked out of this store a year ago due to an extremely rude employee. This visit was stellar. I felt as though I got a great exam and quality eyeglasses. The young tech who did my exam was amazing, as was Suzan the tech who fitted my glasses. They redeemed my opinion and I am glad I gave Stanton a second chance.
