I was quoted a price for year supply of 2-week lenses and paid that amount, and when I received lenses, which took extra 3 weeks to receive, I received only 6 month supply. At my appointment, Doctor offered a different lens to try and she advised that they were 2 week lenses. I wore the lenses before ordering. Note that multifocal lenses are very expensive. When I called staff to order I asked for prices on both 30 day lens I wore for years and the 2 week lens and I was very specific to the price of the 2 week lenses for a year supply and the 30 day lenses for a years supply. The 2 week lenses were less expensive. I asked three times during our conversation if the "2 week" lens were for a year supply before ordering and was assured that they were. I ordered the 2 week lenses to save money. When I picked up the lenses they were for 6 months only. I said I paid for a year supply and the reply was that it is a year supply. I said that since those are 2 week lenses it should be 8 boxes instead of 4 boxes. She said but you can wear them for 30 days. I told her I didn't order 6 months of "2 week" lenses...I ordered a year supply and switched to save money since they were less expensive than the 30 day lenses I was wearing. She said some doctors prescribed 2 week lenses for 30 days. I told her my doctor said 2 week lenses and did not tell me to wear them for 30 days and I reminded her that I specifically asked if it would be 2 week lenses for a year and she said yes. And that the only reason why I switched lenses was because of the cost and that I in fact did not save any money by switching to the 2 week lenses. Her response is that it was a miscommunication. I don't know how it could have been when I was specific several times when ordering. I am NOT happy and I will not jeopardize my eye health. I will NOT go back there.
Yes I came to my eye doctor appointment here at Optical One in Kenner, made it here at 1:15. And then when she opened the door to let the mailman out, I started to go in and she told me I couldn't come in yet because they was at lunch. So I asked could I sit inside until they finished their lunch and she said no. Now it's 90 something degrees out here and they don't open back up until 1:45 . So rude and disrespectful. How people live in this world being so cruel to elderly people. Don't come here because service is very poor and disrespectful. Angie Cloud!
Dr. Khong and his staff are friendly, informative and professional. Dr. Khong takes time to ask questions, does a thorough exam, and answers medical questions in an easy to understand manner. I highly recommend Optical One Kenner to anyone in need of an eye care specialist!
poor service. I called ahead to confirm my glasses were ready, and was told they were. I made the trip over, only to find out I had to wait outside for HALF AN HOUR because the staff was on lunch break. This could have easily been communicated over the phone.
The service was awful. I got there at 12 o'clock for my appointment time and they went to lunch before my appointment. The lady was so rude. I will never go there again. Never the selection of glasses are poor also.
Been a patient at this facility for 3 years now, never had an issue with scheduling or pricing. Appointments are always confirmed before hand & service is quick with short wait time.
Everyone is rude. Doctor has repeatedly made my prescription too strong and lied to me about things other eye doctors confirmed to be untrue. DO NOT GO HERE. I recommend Myeyedoctor. coming from someone who was a stupidly loyal customer for almost ten years. Because there you aren't seen as a patient. You're a customer. They're just money hungry.
I had mixed feelings about my experience with Optical One Kenner. My initial appointment and exam went well, and I was happy with my glasses... until they broke just two months into lightly wearing them. I figured it would be a simple fix, so I drove back over on my lunch break, only to encounter some pretty frustrating obstacles.
First off, the office has some strange hours. Although the open sign was ON , they apparently close every day for lunch for an hour, but this is NOT reflected in their Google or online listings, which can make planning a trip here confusing. And on weekends? They're closed, which makes it tough for anyone with a typical work schedule to pop by without rearranging their whole day.
When I arrived during their lunch break, I asked if I could just drop off my glasses to have them looked at, thinking it would be an easy exchange. Unfortunately, I was told they are "forbidden" to open the door during lunch hours - even for something as simple as a drop-off. It felt like such an unnecessary roadblock, especially since I was ALSO on a lunch break and had made a special trip.
Overall, while my initial experience was fine, the lack of flexibility, inconvenient hours, and dismissive attitude from the staff left a sour impression. When I tried to drop off my glasses, the girls response was less than apologetic--almost as if I had disturbed her lunch, which was FAR more important than helping a patient.
I hope they consider updating their hours online and perhaps rethinking the rigid lunchtime policy, along with a bit of customer care training, so patients can get the assistance they need without feeling like they are intruding.
