I called and scheduled a routine appointment. The lady assured me they were in network. I made sure to ask several times for my free routine exam. I got to the appointment checked in with my insurance card waited for 10 mins to be see. I went through the entire exam only to find out at the end, They are not in network. They told me I owed 174. Ridiculous. I should have been told before the exam that they were not in network. I would have left and went somewhere else. I hope the doctor knows this is whats happening but I doubt it.
Update: I called and spoke directly to the doctor about my experience. He was apologetic and took the time to listen. Turned my opinion around completely

Amazing experience from start to finish! I had an eye emergency and called the office and was able to be seen within 2 hours of calling. The staff were extremely kind and helpful and Dr. Mizelle took time to find my problem and explain everything that was going on. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend them for all optical needs! Thanks again to the staff and Dr. Mizelle for a great experience!

My name is Alisha Arceneaux and I had appointment on today, 4/4/2019; it was just wonderful! I saw Dr. Leanne Gilder, and she was incredible! She was polite, kind and explained everything thoroughly! She was so patient and answered any and every question I asked w/assurance!! By far the best eye doctor I've seen thus far!! The staff is awesome! Everyone was just so polite and courteous! The environment was clean and orderly!! I would most definitely recommend this eye facility to all! COME ONE!! COME ALL!! The eye glass choices are awesome!! Prices are reasonable! I am giving them a 5 star rating!!!!!

There is absolutely no reason when I get here 10 minutes early to fill out new patient paperwork that I should have to wait an ADDITIONAL HOUR AND A HALF and STILL be sitting here waiting! The tech came out and said the doctor has been "dealing with issues" but I'm not buying it because they have a sign up that says they've been experiencing longer than usual wait times, so this is a consistent problem. After they called me twice to confirm my appointment and would have charged me if I didn't cancel within 24 hours? He's an eye doctor, not an obstetrician and he's not doing surgery back there. If I had an option in my network, I wouldn't be here again!

I am so impressed with how compassionate and caring the staff was when I came in with an eye issue. The doctor quickly found and fixed my problem. I do not have a separate eye insurance policy, and the out of pocket cost was very reasonable. I 100% would recommend this practice to anyone.
