Dr. Guillmette is a great ophthalmologist. He answered all my questions and explained my procedure in terms that I could understand easily. He was very attentive to my comfort level during surgery and clearly highly experienced. He is friendly, compassionate and thorough. Depending on his patient load at any given time, you may have to schedule your first appointment several weeks in advance, but once you're in his patient roster, appointments are scheduled fairly quickly. Also, I never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen after arrival for a scheduled appointment. I highly recommend him for eye care.

Dr. Guillmette (Dr. G) is a wonderful Doctor. I was so nervous about having my cataracts surgery I could not think straight. I had thoughts of rescheduling so many times. I met Dr. Guillmette and all my fears vanished. Dr. G. talked and explained everything to me and answered all my questions and even answered some I hadn't asked. He listens and show concern not just listening because he is passing time. In the surgery room I knew I had the right Doctor because I asked God to let my Mother be with me and let me know if I will be okay with Dr. G. Well guess what ? When I was rolled into the room Dr.Guillmette had on Motown music and that was my Mother music she taught my sisters and I how to hand dance. I highly recommend Dr. Guillmette to anyone having cataract removal. God Bless

My cataract surgery a week ago has been a good experience at Ochsner. All employees were awesome from the beginning. They were friendly, professional, answered all of my questions, and explained each step of my treatment. I would highly recommend Dr. Guillmette for this surgery.
