Dr. Zegar insisted on taking my contacts out of my eyes himself. When my eyes started crying and I couldnt hold them open he got angry and actually yelled at me!!! Ive worn contacts for over 15 years and have never had a doctor do that. I could not help my eye crying and closing, it was an involuntary reaction. The woman at front desk stares at you while picking out glasses. Makes you extremely uncomfortable. Also makes comments about which glasses will not look good in you. She also makes me feel like im taking too long, to where I end up picking a pair that I dont even like. Not going back.

Dr. Zegar was excellent, professional, clear in communication, and made the eye exam easy to understand from start to finish. However, my experience with the front desk staff, specifically a woman named Deanie, was disappointing. While I browsed for glasses, she watched me from her desk and made multiple comments about which frames I should or shouldn't be looking at, based on my insurance. Despite me stating that I was open to paying out of pocket, she continued discouraging me from looking at certain racks...I wonder, why? She also informed me that my insurance only covered $40 toward glasses. I later confirmed that my plan actually covers $100. This misinformation could've directly impacted my purchasing decision. While I was still in the store, another customer came in and mentioned that no one had returned his calls in over two weeks. Deanie's response was defensive and dismissive, stating, "I always return calls." Due to how condescending, rude, and pushy she was, I ended up leaving and purchasing my glasses elsewhere. I want to be clear: Dr. Zegar provided great care, but the front desk interaction was unprofessional and needs improvement. It made what should have been an exciting moment--picking out my first pair of glasses--feel uncomfortable, rushed and frustrating.

My visit was fast. No long wait. I love my glasses. I CAN SEE again.

Our family has been seeing Dr. Zegar now for nearly 20 years. And we love him and Dini. They are professional, charming and fair. I find Dr. Zegar has a nice personality with a bit of humor. He has great stories. Dini is like an old friend that I love to catch up with about our families. When my husband had to have his cataract surgery in New Orleans, Dr. Zegar on his day off came to be with Frank during his surgery and kept me informed. That's a dedicated doctor. We will miss them both when they retire.

Not even sure this place is run legitimately! AFTER performing my eye exam, I was then told that I would not receive my prescription for my contacts until I purchased 6 months worth of contacts through them. I was charged $100/box for my contacts which I normally can get anywhere else for $40/box. This whole visit was nothing but a scam and as a patient, I should be able to get my prescription regardless of where I purchase my contacts. I can't believe places like this even exist any more and are allowed to participate in and bill insurance companies.

Dr Zegar is great, and the office staff is very helpful. They were considerate of my nephew's financial circumstances and helped him out. They didn't hesitate to hand over my prescription because I couldn't find the frames I wanted.

My niece came here to get glasses because she was told she had astigmatism. He was very rude to her and her mother and was saying she didn't need glasses even though she didn't pass her eye exam. He told her he's not going to just give her glasses and acted as though that wasn't the whole reason for the appointment. You're an eye doctor and you prescribe glasses when people need them and if she was already told she had astigmatism and she failed her eye exam then give her some glasses because now she has to wait for another appointment with another Dr when you could've done your job and given her what she needed. Also don't speak poorly to the child or their parents because that is NOT your job. Please learn how to properly do your job or retire cause Lord knows it's about time.

Due to heavy rains I was running a few minutes late for my children's four appointments. I called to let them know and the receptionist was so rude. She spoke over me, refused to listen, and told me we just needed to take our business elsewhere instead of seeing two or three of the kids instead of all four. That's no way to run a business. I will tell all of my employees, family, and friends never to do business with this eye clinic. It may be a dr office but you still have to offer customer service or you won't have any customers.
