Eye Rx Chevy Chase

I've been going to Dr. Lobaugh for 10+ years. He's fantastic! I can't say enough good things about him. He always makes me feel so comfortable. I followed him from his previous practice a number of years ago. I also love the staff at Eye Rx. Brianda is amazing!! So easy to deal with. She helped me pick out my glasses, giving me honest, no-pressure advice. She is super-knowledgeable about insurance. She helped me figure out how best to apply my insurance as between my contacts and glasses, as well as plan for next year. My contacts and glasses arrived in a week. I also stopped back in to have Brianda re-adjust the fit of my glasses and she was happy to help. I was in and out in two minutes.

I really like Dr. Teller, but this time I had a very bad experience, waiting far too long. We received 4 emails reminding us about our appointment, but clearly the staff had not been reminded. We arrived a bit early, filled out the paperwork, and then sat there for 30 minutes. Only one other patient was there and he was called in after 15 minutes. I asked the receptionist and she went to the back to "see what was going on." After a few minutes I walked toward the back and found all the lights off and no one around. I could hear a couple of people chatting in the staff room. One person looked out and saw me, she smiled but just continued sipping her coffee. After a few more minutes, the receptionist came out and said they would "be with us shortly, after they are finished." We waited a bit longer and were told it would be just five minutes more. At that point we left. I could understand if there were a lot of patients, but this was 10am and no backlog of patients in the office. We feel our time was not respected. Unfortunate, as Dr. Teller has been very good, but he's lost two patients.

Dr. Teller is the best, always! The people at the front desk; at the optic department and Dr. Teller's assistant were absolutely professional and pleasant.

Dr Teller and staff are welcoming, efficient, thorough and professional. I've been going to Eye Rx for years and recommend them highly.

Good doctor but SKETCHY billing practices. I was charged hundreds of dollars for contacts I didn't order, the office staff wouldn't resolve the issue and sent me to a billing agency, the biller felt sorry for me and cleared the debt when they obviously could not show an order for me for contacts. EyeRx, however, refused to clear the "late charge" they tacked on even though this was their error and caused me significant frustration. They have done the same to others, including my husband. They refuse to give written quotes and everything feels like a handshake deal. I refuse to return and warn anyone against being a patient here.

Terrible experience with the office management and billing. I have excellent vision insurance that covers yearly exams and lenses. Similar to what others have experienced, apart from everything I have going on, I have had to put a tremendous amount of energy trying to resolve the billing issues. They keep billing my health insurance instead of my vision insurance so of course, I have a balance on my account due to the deductible. I have sent them my vision insurance numerous times and they don't respond to my messages. I talked to them about this and they told me they were going to send me a revised bill, yet they continue to send me the incorrect bill and are now sending me automated messages telling me that they are sending my bill to collection. Spare your piece of mind and go somewhere else. This is NOT worth it! I have been dealing with this for months and this should be something very easy to resolve. Something that should be a basic part of running a medical/vision office. I made the worst mistake by choosing this office but never again! Also, they perform additional tests that are not part of a yearly exam without asking and then bill you for them.

Doctor is great, office desk and ordering contacts a nightmare. Left me on hold for 15 minutes with no explanation and then told me to call back later when I was checking in on why contacts still hadn't arrived more than a week after they said they would. Get in, get your prescription and get out. Buy your glasses/contacts elsewhere

Dr.Teller & his team are the best in the business .. I've been with him over 10 years with kerataconus & my guys makes my life close to normal as possible!
