Midshore Surgical Eye Center: Shindler Derrick W MD

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Shindler. We met in the hospital about two weeks ago-I was not his patient and had never heard of him. He checked my eye issue and then helped arrange a transport while I was still a patient to his office so he could use his equipment. This required him to take me into his already full schedule whenever my transport arrived, and my issue has not been what I would call a "quick check". He treated me with care and respect with every encounter. When I was discharged, he didn't want me to wait through the weekend without him checking my eye so he saw me in his closed office at 7am on a Saturday. My eye is improving because of his care, and he is a unicorn eye doctor who clearly cares about his patients. I don't know how he ended up in my hospital room but I am sure glad he is the one they called in. I will recommend him to anyone who needs eye care and I would rate him more than 5 stars if I could.

The entire staff and the Doctor were very efficient and informative on what would need to be done - great cataract surgery result. Great communication

Had cataract surgery. Everyone who had this surgery said, oh you'll love it. You'll have 20/20 vision when done. Well I have 20/40, or worse, double vision at night, and have to readers 5o see up close. Not Happywearr

I was lucky and found Dr Schindler after the ER sent me away , Dr Schindler was able to get me in right away and promptly found the problem !
