I purchased my son's glasses here about 1yr ago and had a great experience. Unfortunately, I can't say the same this time. We have been trying to purchase a new pair of glasses for him for THREE weeks and are still trying. Calling to speak to someone at the actual store is near impossible and when we finally do get through, we are told the girl will call us back and she never does. My husband is currently sitting on hold and it's been 23 mins and counting. The store is NEVER busy when we go there, so I can't quite understand why the recording says they're experiencing high call volumes. I have never had this much trouble ordering new glasses. If my issue is not resolved today, I will be going elsewhere! Do better Visionworks
I've waited a few days to write this so it wouldn't be an emotionally fueled rant. I didn't want to write a review at all. But this was a series of consistently bad experiences, so here are the facts of what happened without any subjective opinion.
My wife and I booked back to back appointments on December 4th several weeks in advance, but were informed 2 days before that there was no optometrist in the office. There would be a telehealth style consultation after the exam. At the appointment, the manager of the office conducted the exam, then connected to an optometrist who finished the exam, reviewed the results, and sent a prescription. During both of our exams, the manager left the room and we had to call her back in because the optometrist needed to speak with her. My wife's contact prescription didn't come through, and neither did my glasses prescription. After a wait, mine came through, but my wife's contact prescription never did. We eventually said to just forget about it. Our appointments took just shy of 3 hours total.
We were told that our glasses would be ready by December 17th, but possibly as early as the 10th. Those dates came and went, and we contacted the office at the end of December. An automated message told us that our glasses had been shipped. After a few more weeks with no word, we called and spoke to a person in the office. My glasses were ready, but no one had contacted us. Her glasses hadn't been received for some reason. We picked mine up on January 8th. After a week, we called again. Her glasses were now ready, but again no one had contacted us to tell us. On January 15th, we went to the office to pick hers up. The glasses were a little big on her. The woman at the front desk asked if we could wait so the technician/manager could adjust them. After waiting about 20 minutes, we asked the manager if she could adjust them. She said that she was running 20 minutes behind on appointments and couldn't do it. We asked if she could just take a few minutes to adjust them since it had been such a long wait for them. She said she couldn't do it at any point that day, but to come back there the following day because there would be more people there to help. We came back on January 16th and asked the gentleman at the counter to adjust her glasses. He immediately said he wasn't able to because he didn't have time. "No" seemed to be the default response there. After explaining how long of a wait it had been and that we'd been told we would be able to have it done that day, he acquiesced and adjusted them slightly, but they were still a little big. He said he couldn't adjust them any more because they might break. Feeling completely frustrated, we saw there was a Visionworks in Columbia, and decided to go there. I'll write a separate review for them, but they were extremely helpful, right away.
These are the events as they happened. We won't be returning, and have told friends and family not to go. As a business owner myself, this is unacceptable behavior and customer service.
Maria Pham is EXCELLENT!! She explained everything perfectly so that I understood my diagnosis and her recommendations for my lenses made sense and made things simple. I highly recommend her and I'll probably be back because of my experience.

I had been doing my regular eye-checkup here in last 2 to 3 years. My experience is good!
But recently, when I tried to get a certificate for my exam there to renew my driver license, it just doesn't work even I made 3 visits. I have to say, all staff were kind and trying to help, but I just can't get the certificate. I don't know what the problem is. But definitely, i give up on this and I won't go there in the future for any reasons!.
I had a wonderful experience! Dr. Maria Pham was a delight, and she was fun to talk to while doing my eye exams. The secretary that was there that day was also wonderful. 10/10
Made appointments twice. Showed up to both appointments early. They cancelled both appointments without notifying me. Complete waste of my time. The worst optometrist client experience I have ever experienced. Never going back, and letting anyone else know to not visit this chain. The reviews speak for themselves. Zero stars.
I've been trying to get an appointment there for several weeks now. The first one was rescheduled because the system was down. I'll give them that, there's no way to predict such inconvenience. Second appointment was canceled the day of because the doctor called out. Mind you, I rescheduled that appointment on the website PER their availability after my first appointment was canceled. That's fine, i'll give them another chance and schedule a third appointment. That last one was canceled - again the day of - because the doctor on call called out - again. That's it, that one was the last straw. Please get a staff that either wants to work or can provide better availability. People don't have time to reschedule doctor's appointments over and over again. In this economy and under those critical times, please don't toy with people's time. Thank you.
