I have been going to Dr May for years and she is the best! She takes her time with each patient and truly tries to understand each person's needs. My daughter has also been attending this office as well for routine exams and even went through their vision therapy program when she was younger. They were able to identify her issues and work with her on correcting them. Dr. May and her team are outstanding at what they do!

I visited this place for the first time as a new patient of Dr. Michelle May and came away impressed with not only her professionalism and thoroughness, but also that of her technical assistant and Yvonne, both of whom were extremely welcoming and hospitable in the way they treat patients, especially new ones like me. The testing and diagnostic skills here are exceptional, not to mention the kindness and compassion that is shown during an entire visit, start to finish. They truly care about their patients and go above and beyond the call of duty to provide them with some of the best eye care in this area. I had a very poor experience at Advanced Family Vision Care in Gambrills, MD. When we went in for the consultation and to purchase glasses, we specifically asked several questions about returns and refunds before buying. The optician assured us there was a 30-day return or remake policy, which made us feel comfortable proceeding.
However, when we later realized that the lenses we received were not the same quality or type that we paid for, everything changed. We were suddenly told there was no return policy at all. To make matters worse, we were never provided any digital or printed receipt stating that all sales were final -- something that should have been clearly disclosed at the time of purchase.
When we tried to resolve the issue, the optician became defensive and made the refund process unnecessarily difficult. This kind of behavior feels deceptive and unprofessional, especially for a business that deals with healthcare products.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you value honesty, transparency, and accountability, look elsewhere for your vision care needs.
