Tarantino Cho Eye Center

My mother had cataract surgery on both of her eyes. She had her first eye done in November and had her second eye done last week. We are currently here for her one week post op appointment. My mother's appointment time was changed from 9am to 9:45am without our knowledge, this is the second time its happened. So we got here at 9:05 I know a little late for the appointment, so we ended up really being 40 minutes early. It is now 11:02 and we have just been brought back to be seen. They have taken multiple people that have had later appointments before her. I am so disappointed in this place and after she is done her follow up appointments we will never be back. And if you're planning on coming or bringing someone you love here, don't. They don't care and I do not recommend this place.

Dr. Tarantino is the best!!! I have worked in customer service most of my life. I'm so upset with the customer service we get now since COVID but Dr. Tarantino and his staff have renewed my faith in the medical field. I just had my second cataract surgery and I'm so impressed with everyone. I received a call from Dr. Tarantino the evening after my surgery to see how I was and a few days ago I received a card from the surgical center and every person, including Dr. Tarantino signed that card. Personal contact and little things like that says a lot about the entire team. Thank you all for taking such great care of me and for all of the personal touches. It means a lot. D. Romeo

Avoid this eye center and not worth it with the other practices in the area that provide good routine eye service and are ethical. I came to this practice for the last three years and as other reviewers have noted, they do not bill your insurance correctly and refuse to correct billing issues. I called several times to try to correct the issue over several months to have them bill my vision insurance vs my medical insurance for a routine annual eye exam. Nothing special was done during the eye exam, however, they insisted it needs to be billed (at a higher rate) to my medical insurance for something that my primary care physical monitors. I was not informed anything during the vision check and eye dilation was different or above and beyond the normal appointment. After months of trying to get them to fix it to no avail, I ended up just paying it to be done with this unethical practice. Note, if you book with them do not tell them you occasionally have dry eyes because apparently that makes it a medical claim for a routine eye exam.

Main reason it's soo sad but they are focusing to money not your eyes health! Unfortunately! Staff I would say not very friendly. Seems someone is forcing them to work there. If they don't change this, I believe they will loose many customers.

Chy and Jimmy's customers service is 150% awesome and believe me you'll want to come back just to say hello after receiving such a monumental service! I went to this establishment 3 years ago for an eye exam it actually had 4.8 stars. I'm glad I looked at the reviews again now I will be going elsewhere. Reviewing and leaving reviews are worth it !

Dr. Tracy Burroughs is a pathetic excuse for a professional. Her bedside manner is despicable and she is extremely patronizing to her patients. During the initial consultation (mind you I was a new patient) she did not perform an eye exam but instead asked ME for my prescription. During my follow up visit when I voiced my concerns of the lack of communication and exam, she rolled her eyes and talked down to me. I highly suggest finding another optometrist before making the mistake of being seen at this practice.

Would not recommend for anyone. I booked my annual preventative exam like I do every year- mind you nothing is wrong with my eyes except I wear contacts. One of the receptionist, by mistake, booked me for some special niche medical exam that is clearly not covered by any insurance. The appointment was just as any other appointment I've ever had (since I have no issues with my eyes), so of course I was not aware of their mistake until I got the bill. They refuse to fix their mistake and are refusing to work with my insurance. It has been a nightmare for my insurance and I. It is extremely unprofessional that they acknowledge their mistake, but refuse to do anything about it. Avoid at all cost!
