Walmart Vision & Glasses

Website says close at 7pm. We got there at 6:29pm the lady employee was on her cell phone. Nobody in there but us and she tells us she has to close right then to clean the store. We ask if we could at least look at the glasses. And she said yes. We had a pair picked out within 5 mins and script in hand. She could have made the sale but chose not to. Maybe the hours should say they close at 6:30 not 7 if you refuse service at 6:30. I could see if she was busy but as I said she was on her phone chatting as we walked in. Not sure I'd go back after that.

The doctor is great. Most of the staff is slow. My first visit took an hour in half and I had an appointment. This will be my 3rd time going back to have my brand new glasses corrected. The prescription is either wrong or something has been added to the glasses without my knowledge (anti glare ect...) The glasses are blurry. There has also been a discrepancy about $35 I was charged. I was told it was my copay, but I don't have a copay with my insurance. They're saying it's a fitting fee. I'm etremely disappointed in the service I've received.

The last time I came, I scheduled an appointment and I waited for over 30 minutes while a lady who walked in was seen before me. Then the woman who helped me pick out my glasses seemed upset because I didn't want to purchase the more expensive ones. The ones I chose were $70 and she just kept saying my insurance covered more than that. I kept reminding her that I knew and proceeded with my purchase. That was in 2018. I came back this year because I liked my frames and my prescription was almost perfect. Also because they already had my insurance on file, and I wanted to try contacts this go round. I made an appointment again and this time, I was seen in a timely manner. My optometrist was friendly as always, and this time the staff was too. There was one optician who wasn't very attentive when helping me figure out my contacts. I wouldn't say he was rude he just seemed annoyed when I tried to get it. The ladies that work in the office were able to help me though. And because this time was mostly a pleasant experience, I would go back again.

Dr. Evan's is a pleasant Doctor who gives a very thorough eye examination and makes you feel valued as a patient. Lori was helpful in helping me pick out my new glasses. They fit nice and I can see much better than before. Lori was so personable and remembered my name when I went to pick up my glasses. Located inside Super Walmart in GlenBurnie. Many bargains and a great selection of fresh produce.

Absolutely the WORST vision center in Maryland! They have a serious communication problem! I went in and took my eye exam and chose frames, the style I wanted was not there they said they can can order them, ok cool.. I also asked DO I PAY NOW multiple times, they said no, wait for them to come in... I wait over a week call to check status and she said they haven't order them yet. Lady is now telling me that I need to pay 1st.. I told her that her I want to talk to someone else because its VERY hard to understand her over her Asain accent and broken English. She called me a racist for saying she need to work on her English. Two different things! If I said something a out her RACE then yes, that would be racist but I DID NOT.. I said for her to work on her English because its broken and hard to understand. Asked to speak with manager and manager get on phone and backs up the ladies story which is incorrect. A TOTAL HEADACHE and I need my glasses! Zero stars if I could! She needs to learn the definition of racism and should NOT be attaching that to my name.. HOW DARE THIS LADY call me out of my name b/c SHE cannot fully explain the process so that customers fully understand. How am I racist when its 4 different customer reviews saying the SAME EXACT THING Im saying! Very upsetting!

A great place to get prescription glasses! Monica and Lori were very helpful with explaining the whole process! Dr. Meadows was very nice and knowledgeable!

Dr. Meadows and his staff were so friendly and welcoming. You'd forget you were in a Walmart! I was able to get everything I needed, and I'll be going back in a week to follow up on my contacts and how I like them throughout the week.

Not worth the wait and hassle if you want the slow paced staff and service here. Find somewhere else like an online retailer plus Walmart vision DOES NOT price match with competitors... They do ship their contacts to your house but the place is old school. You have to bring a hard copy of your Rx for glasses or contacts AnD if you don't have a hard copy you can email it to them but have to fax it to their clinic... What year are we in Walmart vision?! It's 2024!!
