Dr Sami Ghannam & Associates

I honestly hate writing this because Dr Ghannam is amazing. My husband introduced me to him and I have been coming here since. My experience with his staff has left a very sour taste in my mouth. My daughter has been getting her glasses from Ghannam since she started wearing glasses at 5 years old(she sees a ophthalmologist due to a health condition). My daughter is currently 12 years old and we made her recent prescription in April 2022. In May 2022 I realized that her glasses did not include Transitions lenses that I requested. Now this is not the first time the staff left off Transitions. They also did it to my glasses a few years prior. I called the office back and was given the run around about my insurance will have to pay for them again. Not to mention the attitude I received from the office manager who had the audacity to say to me why didn't I notice her glasses sooner your pass the 30 day mark. I have made several calls to Christina and have gotten nowhere. To this date I still have not received a call back. Clearly I will have to start going to silver spring because of this. Update * the practice manager called me and made things right. Clearly was getting no where with Christina. I appreciate the time that was taken to help me.

This is part of the "I Care Dr" at this location which as 4.5 stars. Had my first appt here today and went smooth and fast. My appointment was scheduled for 11, I came a half hour early for paperwork, was seen by nurse at 10:50 and by the actual doctor at 11:10. Was out of there by 11:30. Sami was polite, friendly, and well informed. It's a good place to have eye appointments done.

That 1 bad review about the staff being rude is ridiculous. This is the best Eye doctor office I have been to. Everyone is courteous and the doctor took his time with my exam. I have been to a few places and this one beats them all in every category. They were even open during a snow storm. Edit - Just went in to get my contact training session and wow!!! The patience and respect the staff has here is amazing. Google needs to allow me to give a 6th star!!

My family and I are patients of Dr Sami for the past 10 plus years but the last couple of visits we noticed a Rude and Arrogant receptionist her name I believe is Christina. We will miss Dr Sami but we are not going back. Spoke to Michelle the office manager she was very polite, but I guess her hands are tied when it comes to fixing her rude office employee!

I had a different experience than the most recent person who posted. The doctor was very professional (and thorough) and the resulting prescription was just what I needed. I withheld one star because the frames were fairly costly (at least the ones I wanted to purchase). At any rate, I've saved my pennies and am planning to make an appt. to go back sometime this month.

Receptionist was rude and would not make an appointment. Phone call was an issue and eye doctor was impolite. Do not call them!
