Srun Eye Associates

I tried to make an appointment for an eye exam for glasses, through the Costco number, but their phone only takes messages and directs you to their web site. So, I went online and filled out the appointment request. Then, you are taken to a screen to sign a permission form that includes authorization to receive payment. However, nowhere it shows how much they charge for the exam, nor if they accept any insurance plans. The fact they are associated with Costco does not provide any discounts. I replied their email confirming the appointment and asked for the cost of the exam. It is $99! This is way above what my ophtalmologist charges for refraction. I cancelled the appointment and shopped around. Lerner Vision Care charges $60 and takes my insurance. My advice is: check costs before committing and shop around.

I was so thrilled to be able to make my appointment online, and then was even happier to receive such terrific care from Dr Srun and his associate. I felt like we really discussed my vision concerns and all the options available to me: they listened and made sure I knew my options and helped me come to an informed decision. The prices are exceedingly competitive and listed in such a way that you know what you're in for going into the process. And they give you your prescription without needing to be asked for it, like some places do (likely due to being in the Costco, but still.) I highly recommend this place for all Costco customers.

Good doctor . . . 1. I assumed, wrongly, that since Costco was 'in network' that Srun would be also since they are in the 'same building' but that wasn't the case. 2. The sign that says they don't take ANY insurance is tiny and obscured on the desk - hidden in plane sight. It wasn't until 'after' I had received my exam that the receptionist was me told they didn't accept insurance. So I had to submit a claim to my insurer to get reimbursed and that's when I found out Srun is not in my network. My bad! So my review is to help you not make the same mistake I did. The 'out-of-network' claim only covers $10 of the $80 exam.

My experience with Dr Srun and his assistant was excellent. The testing was excellent. His professional knowledge was reassuring. His testing procedure was kind and gentle and resulted in a clear diagnosis of my vision. The office is clean and well maintained.In the future, I will return to Dr. Srun for all of my Optometrist services

Environment: inside costco, don't need membership to go in, office is very clean and spacious. Receptionist: she is very nice and professional. Make sure you book an appointment via the phone or email. Dr. Srun: he takes his time to carefully examine your eyes and hear your concerns and conditions. Price is reasonable but you have to claim insurance on your own. Added bonus: if you ever lose your prescription, you can email them for an electronic copy. Although taking a photo of it yourself next time would be more efficient.

Dr. Srun is an amazing doctor. He has a mannerism about him to immediately relax you and feel confident to ask him any questions. He listened very carefully about all my concerns and provided great answers and pointed to resources where I could find more info. He even referred me to external clinics for further concerns. Dr. Srun is extremely competent, diligent and caring. I would have given him 6 stars if Google allowed me. If you are looking for an eye doc, do yourself a favor and call his office. I am shifting my entire family here and recommending him to friends.

Awesome experience! My 15 year old son had been having issues with his contact prescription with the ophthalmologist we had been seeing for years, so we took him to Dr. Srun to see if he had a different assessment. Dr. Srun was kind, patient, asked a lot of great questions, and got the prescription right on! Highly recommend.

Unprofessional, unreliable, uneducated, cheap, and just plain rude. He does not listen to the patient! He prescribes what makes him commision! Not what you asked for! Asking for assistance is near to impossible, as he is cheap and keeps a very limited staff that never answers the phone. The girls don't care either. Yeah I am talking about you Maria! They tell you yeah the order is placed but refuse to provide you with any kind of confirmation/receipt. Instead they just provide a jumbled overly complicated bogus explanation as to why you should just trust them that THIS time the order was placed. Ok! you say but, a month later and still no contacts! Go somewhere else and avoid the headache of this business, and its practices at all costs!
