Dr. Irving L. Weissman, MD

I was extremely put off by Dr. Weissman and would not recommend him. He seemed distracted throughout the appointment and made a series of inappropriate comments that made me uncomfortable. He asked me (unprompted) what my husband did for work, and when I said I was single, he said 'oh, so you were rejected.' He then asked where I went to college (I'm 34) and said I 'must have talked to many Jews' while I was there, and then made a series of comments about how my university treated Jewish students in the past. (Valid comments, but an entirely inappropriate time and place.) He inquired about a photograph he spotted on my phone. He took a call from his wife mid-appointment and put her on speakerphone. When professing my eyes were fine despite my hearing something completely different from an ER ophthalmologist a week prior, he belittled my concerns and questions about follow-up care. And, when I tried to extricate myself from the exam chair to leave, he did not move his own chair back so I had to squeeze past him completely unnecessarily. I was extremely put off and feel like I need a second opinion because I can't trust that he was paying any attention during the exam. This man needs to retire.

The worst place to go to have an eye exam. Worst of all is the receptionist with the curly hair, she is the rudest , sloppy, unorganized, has an attitude, unprofessional., no wonder she works in that dump. They have no computers .Everything in that office looks form 1950s. In this day and age , they right down everything by hand. I went to this" Dr", my eye exam was done half way and his reasoning behind it was that the field machine broke that morning. Prior to my appointment the referral for my eye exam was faxed to them. Any other professional office would have looked at the referral and would have notified the patient that one of the machines was broken, so the patient could make an appointment another day. They asked me to come back another day. I went back and he says ,the machine broke this morning. Wasted my morning away. The guy is hundred years old , he can barely speak. He should not practice medicine any more. I would give this place no stars at all. This practice should be shut down. Don't waste your time, don't go to this "Dr".

Dr Weisman is the absolute best. Approximately 15 years ago I ask my PCP of 29 years who he went to. He told my Dr Weisman, and I've been going ever since. I bring my child and family to him as well.

He is the best and caring Dr. Always listen to your is concerns.
