We had a scheduled visit for a routine eye exam, confirming that insurance covered it with $0 copay. Asked to initial a couple of what I assumed were routine intake forms. One of them was for an optional extra $45 for an image. Nobody ever mentioned this until we were leaving and they asked for payment. I found this to be a bit sneaky and deceptive. I told staff that and they became very defensive. The doctor was great. The receptionist (scruffy looking male) was not customer friendly. I will not be buying any eyewear here. Buyer beware!!!

I went to pick up my eyeglasses today, January 24, 2026, and I walked in and I told the receptionist that I was there to pick up my glasses and she was very kind and she looked up my name of course and she went to find my glasses and then she came back to me and said here are my glasses and I think she suggested that I open them up and see how I look at them, which is fine. So I did that when I went, walked away a little bit I could see and hear that the female employee that originally helped me pick out my eyeglasses sort of scolded her in front of me saying oh you don't just hand out glasses like that you have to have one of us do it or whatever I thought it was very uncomfortable, very unprofessional, and her attitude was not very nice. I felt very badly for the receptionist that was very embarrassing situation. She could've certainly handled it a lot differently. I wasn't happy with the treatment. This is the second time I purchased glasses from them and it was the same woman who helped me twice and And I must say I didn't get the best vibe from her when I went back this time and after seeing how she treated this employee just confirmed how I feel I'd never go back to them. I certainly do not recommend them.

I just wish the staff will be a little more apologetic for my experience of having eye sore immediately after trying on new lenses. They were not happy about me going back within 24 hours to inform them that the lenses they gave me had given me eye sore that significantly affected my work. They did say that maybe it is because I am putting it on at the end of the day. I have changed lenses 5 or 6 times in other places before. This has never happened. They changed it and gave me new lenses in 3 weeks . The new pair still gave me eye sore but I ended up trying it the next day in the morning. The eye sore went away. They promised me if there is anything wrong with it they can help me get another pair. They are a responsible vendor. I am changing my old review to a 5 star.

Jonathan Parrelli and his team in Danvers are amazing! In the past I never had luck being fitted properly for contacts, as I have strong astigmatism and contacts always shifted/turned, making vision very blurry. I thought that I was not a candidate for contacts. Well, Jonathan changed all of that! He fitted me with an amazing pair! He has so much patience and takes the time to get everything right! There's no need to look any further for a provider - book your appointment with Parrelli! You will be glad you did!

I called the office the day after a routine eye exam due to the inappropriate questioning of the optometrist. No call back, AT ALL. I am astounded that any doctor would comment on his genitals upon learning that I went to school for mammography. The amount of time questioning me on my personal life far exceeded the amount of time spent on my eye exam. Shame on this business for not following up, and shame on a medical professional for speaking to a patient in this manner. I will never return.

The establishment appears to offer minimal if any, meaningful contribution to the community or to the field it purports to represent; the staff display an immense sense of self-importance disproportionate to the operation. From a civic perspective, it is difficult to comprehend why local resources are being allocated to maintain an establishment that stands stark contrast to the standards typically upheld by reputable optician practices. In sum, its presence is less a point of quality service and more a blemish on the profession's reputation.

I recently purchased a pair of Blackfin frames and lenses at the Danvers location. I wanted to thank you for an excellent customer service. I've worn glasses for 40 years and this was the best customer experience I can remember. I worked with Garrett on the frame selection and measurements. He took time, asked questions and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Ethel did my fitting at pick up and was helpful, cheerful and made sure I left feeling good about the glasses. I'm also grateful for the frame selection that includes a range of brands and styles. It's a pleasure to shop at a place that carries more than the tired national brands. Thank you for continuing as an independent optician.

Front desk staff are friendly and professional. Eye exams are quick, informative and easy. Their optical staff are great as well, especially Aprile, who took the time to explain each kind of lens coating to me so that I could make an informed decision. The cherry on top is that my glasses were ready within a week, which is basically unheard of in a post-Covid world. A great experience all around!
