Shara Vu is a horrible optometrist because she lacks patience and understanding with pediatric patients. On the other hand, Tia (?optician) provided very compassionate care. I've started going to Visionworks about 20 years ago and never had an issue with anyone. Shara Vu lacked compassion by using abrasive language to my son and I. She was not able to simply explain to a minor that his vision had worsened. He clearly was not able to see the exam chart. I merely asked her if she could share her findings, with him, for that portion of the exam. She quickly snapped, "I haven't finished the exam" while she prepared the process of starting a new exam. She spoke about doing an exam for glasses. I informed her my son would like to try contacts. Again, she abrasively stated she is doing an exam for glasses (maybe everyone else may know it's easy to convert glasses to contact lenses. I didn't). I'm not sure if Shara Vu was having a bad day and didn't want to answer questions, but Shara you should change your profession if you don't want to deal with patients. Tia, on the other hand was very professional and patient. She took the time (a lot of time) to show my son how to place contact lenses in his eyes. As I stated before, I've been going to that place for about 20 years. The negative attitude Shara displayed would make someone look for negligence on her behalf so she can be sued

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Hauff. I went home to rave about him to my girlfriend and she stopped me to describe him the same way and we realized we had the same great Doctor at different times. He is so kind and he makes you feel seen (pun intended). We had so much fun checking my eyes and he provided me with very valuable information about my eyes in a simple way that was understandable for a patient who wouldn't understand otherwise. Great providers can be hard to come by nowadays, Dr. Hauff is one of the best out there :)

Team worked seamlessly. Dr took time and again to get prescription right for glasses & contacts. Getting perfect glasses frame. Then the extras work very well (tint, anti-glare...) and with Medicare and Visionworks agreements, the prices were reasonable. Wait to get glasses wasn't bad and took time for a perfect fit. Thank you!!!

I liked the customer service from the moment I arrived; I was greeted warmly. Then, where I was taken for my appointment, I didn't have to wait long. The treatment was very professional and friendly, both from the technician and the doctor. And finally, the young woman who helped me choose my glasses was very kind and attentive. Overall, I liked it very much; I felt comfortable and at ease, and I appreciate it!

My daughter and I have been going to Visionworks for years. The employees and doctors are amazing, very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to navigating the insurance end. Appointments are easy to make and the Malden location is very convenient.

Mixed bag here. The check in staff was friendly and efficient. The doctor who did the exam really did a poor job of guiding me to the next step after the exam, as did the first staff member who was just looking to check me out. Thankfully a very helpful staff person finished me up and guided me. I've never bought eye glasses so needed some guidance and felt hurried until the last person helped me.

Very mixed bag here. The eye exam we well done. Getting the actual glasses has been miserable. We were told we'd have them in 2 weeks, but 2 and a half weeks later had heard nothing. I called but was unable to speak to a real person, just a distorted AI voice that said my order had "shipped" and there would be "an update in 3-5 days" We will not be a repeat customer

The location is convenient with flexible hours. They have nice collection with wide range of prices that fit everyone. Caysie was highly professional and informative. She helped me find the perfect fit for my face. They offer one month free return/exchange. Highly recommend and definitely come back again.
