I have been calling for 1 month now and leaving many messages about them submitting my bill to my insurance. No response at all to my messages. I left message with my insurance member number and I still keep getting bill. Dr Patti is awesome but I am going to look for another Dr.

Thank you for addressing this matter so quickly upon my review, that I had to leave in order to get resolved. I gave your office all my updated insurance in November, calling many times every month since leaving messages with 0 response as I mentioned to you when you contacted me. Unfortunately it's disappointing that there is no accountability of this issue that was avoidable if someone got back to me in November. Thank you for finally getting this resolved. Dr Patti I appreciate your outstanding service but due to your staff/ billing issues I decided to seek care with another practice
My family and I have been seeing Dr Patti for years. we love how knowledgable and detailed she is during appointments. she cured my chronic migraines and it truly changed my life.
But, I am feeling quite frustrated this time around, i saw dr patti back in june 2025.
I called to make an appointment and provided them with my new insurance information and included my member ID etc because i wanted to make sure my insurance was in network before making an appointment. The receptionist said that i should be all set she would run it and let me know if there are any issues with the insurance and made me an appointment.
she called me back because there was an earlier opening for me to be seen, so i took the appointment and confirmed with her that she ran my vision insurance and that it was in network. she said yes its all set it is in network there should not be an issue.
i went in for my appointment, there was no receptionist before or after my appointment to speak to. So, i showed dr patti my medical and vision cards beforehand and confirmed with her again that my insurance was in network. she said yes, yes of course. i then checked in with her after the appointment regarding the billing/insurance and she once again said you should be all set we will look into it and be in touch with you about billing asap (nobody ever reached out to me like they said they would)
Keep in mind that it was extremely important to me that my insurance was in network because my appointment about two years before this appointment, my insurance had suddenly gone out of network (after using this insurance with them for about 3 years), which left me with an almost $400 bill.
they informed us that it was our responsibility to know whether or not our insurance was in network and that changes like that are not their responsibility to disclose to patients. as frustrated as we were, we brushed it off and moved on because we loved seeing dr patti
this time around, i did my job, i took the initiative to ensure my insurance was in network with them so i would not be blindsided by a very high cost bill. i asked both the receptionist twice as well as dr patti. turns out my insurance is actually not in network and i was left with a $456 bill. they did not even have the decency to call and let me know that it was out of network, they just sent the bill in the mail. This was even more frustrating as dr patti said someone would be in touch with me asap after my appointment
unfortunately, we will no longer be seeing dr patti due to these recurring situations
Amazing exam. Very thorough. Admin is impossible to reach however and experienced an ongoing issue in attempting to get contacts ordered correctly.
I thought I would still make an appointment this year because the exam was so great. However, have changed my mind after calling to try and make an appointment during business hours and continuing to receive voicemail.
My rating is based on several visits, for both me and my child. The good - the doctor was patient and knowledgeable, taking her time and very personable. The office is clean and usually punctual. Based on this I had referred my husband and others to the practice.
The unfortunate - my 6 year old was evaluated and in dire need of glasses. There was not much inventory for a young child so I left having been advised that they'd have more samples in a few days and I'd get an email or text with the styles to evaluate in advance. This was 12/9. I waited several days, then began to follow up... phone calls, voicemail, text messages...absolutely no reply. None. I figured holiday hours and schedules could warrant a delayed response... but it's now 12/30 and still no response. My husband went in person to perhaps see if they were closed and maybe forgot to update their voicemail... and to our surprise the office was open! There was no acknowledgement of my numerous attempts for outreach, and even asked if I wanted to wait for the new samples to come in...um, no! My child needs these to see, and it's already been 3 weeks!!
Mistakes happen, but good customer service and communication goes a long way, and this was totally absent from my recent experience. Needless to say, I asked for the prescription and will be filling it elsewhere.
I have been going to this eye care doctor for a few years now. I had an eye exam on December 3rd and was not provided with a copy of my new prescription as required by law. I have been trying for over a month to get a copy of my prescription and have not been able to obtain one. I do like the doctors at the office but the office support staff is extremely disappointing.
I have been going to Dr. Patti for a couple years on the recommendation of my wife. She is fantastic and performs a very thorough eye exam. She also engages you on a personal level so that you feel relaxed and not sitting in a doctor's office. Her staff is friendly and courteous as well. I would not hesitate to recommend her if you are looking for a top-notch eye professional.
Eye exam was good. Billing has been an absolute nightmare. Had to file a complaint with my insurance for a proper reimbursement.
Edited to add - the insurance company (Eye Med) investigated my complaint and issued me a $300 refund. Hopefully this office learns how to process a claim correctly in the future!
Dr. Richards is incredible, so knowledgeable and kind. She made made every effort to help me with my eye issue and succeeded! I felt fully taken care of and was in hands that I trusted!!! If you need a new eye doctor, look no further!!
