Berkshire Eye Center

Superb eye care. They have taken care of me for more than ten years, after my NYC opthamologist retired. Having just undergone cataract surgery in both eyes, I went from 45+ years of wearing contact lenses, to right now, 20-20 vision bilaterally. The team is well trained, very professional and attentive. Could not get better care! Thank you Dr. Ginsberg for your time, experience, knowledge and expertise.

This would zero stars from me. I originally had an eye exam scheduled for today 1/27/26 @1050 am. I called at 8am to let them know I would have my son teen take the appointment for me since he's in need for an eye exam and they are scheduling for next year. I never got a call in return so I called them again a little after 10am, and dad was on his way to Berkshire Eye with our son. I spoke to one of the receptionist who told me they couldn't do it because it was already too late to switch our appointments. I then expressed to her that I had left a voicemail earlier asking if this was OK to do. She then tells me that they couldn't see him because of insurance purposes. Which makes no sense because it doesn't take more than 10 minutes to run insurance. Then she says that the Dr needs to get ready to see his patients and the Doc was not ready nor prepared to see my child, he was prepared to see me. None of that made sense. Then she said she will transfer me to someone that can schedule my son in ASAP, someone picks up and hangs up. Then they call me back ask me for my kids info says they will place me on hold so they can look at the schedule and hangs up instead of placing me on hold. Extremely disgusted with this place. I will never go back.

Massive waiting list. Poor service. Wont return calls. There are MUCH better options in the county. I drive 45 min to great barrington, rather than dealing with this place.

Eye glass center is rude and unorganized. We were skipped over 3X and extremely slow service.

I had the most wonderful nurse named Debbie B. at my appointment today. She was so polite and kind.

I do NOT recommend Berkshire Eye Center!!! First of all it takes a year to get in. You'll never see the same Eye Dr. You can be ready to go back at least 4 times because they WILL NOT FIX YOUR EYES correctly. Then they will ask YOU to PAY for another visit and act like it's your fault, not theirs that the prescription is ONCE AGAIN, 3 YEARS IN A ROW: WRONG! ITS ridiculous. In fact I think they're doing on purpose at this point. Giving you a Wrong Script so that you have to go back and they can make money off of you. I just CHANGED EYE DOCTORS and have to wait until February to see. And I wear contacts. It's not that hard. Very disappointed! If I could rate ZERO , I would rate double zero.

I really was not impressed with the service at the Optical Center that is under new ownership. The staff was not very friendly, and they just handed my new glasses to me, and did not spend time ensuring their fit, etc., as they usually do.

My wife and I were BOTH totally dissatisfied with this business. Deceptive billing and a very sketchy operation. STAY AWAY ! Look at other reviews ..... not good. If I could do a minus one I would.
