Richard W. Strecker, M.D.

I can't recommend Dr Strecker enough. He is excellent at what he does and is extremely professional. With many eye Drs around here you are just a number and have to wait forever to be seen. Totally different experience here. I had cataract surgery done and was terrified. It wasn't bad at all.In my opinion Dr Strecker is the best opthalmologist in the area.

Moving back to the South Shore in 1996, a trusted colleague referred me to Dr. Strecker. I could not be happier with his care. He is thorough, respectful, and caring. I never feel rushed at appointments. At the first appointment he discovered a (life-long) problem with my optic nerve, that no one earlier in forty years had shared with me. He arranged special photographs to be taken of both eyes, to serve as a base-line. when I need it, I will trust him for cataract surgery. Dr. Strecker is an excellent ophthalmologist.

I recently underwent cataract surgery and found it to be a positive and smooth experience. My quality of life has improved because of this procedure. I am grateful to Dr. Strecker and his medical team who performed the surgery. They were professional and dedicated to patient care. The entire process was explained, concerns I had addressed, and they made sure I was comfortable during the entire procedure. The surgery itself was painless and quick. Written instructions were given to me even though they had been reviewed prior to my surgery. Dr. Strecker phoned the evenings of the surgeries to make sure there were no problems. In the days following the surgery, I noticed an improvement in my vision. The world was more vivid and colorful. Both my distant and near vision improved. I was able to see everything clearly. The post-operative care was thorough. Any more questions I had were answered and my progress was monitored ensuring a successful recovery. Having this procedure has positively impacted my life. I now enjoy my everyday activities without the hindrance of blurry vision. I highly recommend Dr. Strecker and his team if you are considering cataract surgery.
