Walmart Vision & Glasses

I recently had my first ever eye exam at the Walmart Vision Center in Adrian, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Initially hesitant to choose Walmart, I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and was warmly greeted by Angie, the eye care specialist. Her friendly demeanor and humor brightened my Monday morning, and she worked some serious magic to secure me a same-day appointment which none of the other clinics in town could dream of doing. During my visit, Angie guided me through the process, highlighting current discounts on glasses and ensuring my paperwork was in order. When it was time for my exam, Dr. David VanOtteren (affectionately known as "Dr. Dave") took over. His thoroughness and willingness to engage in meaningful conversation set him apart from other doctors I've encountered. He attentively listened to my concerns and educated me throughout the examination, making the experience both informative and enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend the Walmart Vision Center in Adrian for anyone seeking eye care. The professionalism, courtesy, and lighthearted atmosphere created by Dr. Dave and Angie made my visit truly exceptional. Thank you both for your outstanding service today!

I could not do the dilation part of the exam at the time of my eye appointment. I was told I could come back and that my insurance would cover it, that was a lie. I was charged even though I asked before several times. Also, I had to listen to the Doctor and one of his employees argue which was very uncomfortable for me. Did not seem to bother either of them. Awkward ,I am not be going back.

Went in to pick up my daughters prescription and wasn't looked at all. The two ladies were working but couldn't take a moment to act like I was there. Something like, "I will be right with you" would have made me happy. I waited patiently hoping they would make eye contact to make me feel like I existed. But to no avail. I finally spoke up, asked if I needed to make an appointment to pick up my prescription. You could tell that both ladies were annoyed. They said no, but that I could wait until someone got back from break in 10-15 minutes. They also ended up having my contact I information wrong. That is a whole different story. Very poor customer care. I will be going somewhere else next time.

Dr VanOtteren the Optometrist on staff is wonderful! Super professional, kind and knows his profession. I can tell he's very experienced. Walmart is lucky to have him on their staff. Highly recommend him!

The staff is friendly enough and my eye exam was very thorough, but I'm having to wait over a week to get a contact fitting exam while my contacts sit there waiting for me. After I already had to wait 2 months to get in for the exam in the first place. I find it unreasonable that they don't save short appointments for contact fittings if they insist they be checked by the doctor.

We have used Walmart vision for years. Our family has 7 of us in glasses and we have always had a great experience with the doctors and staff. Having so many kids in glasses we needed the low prices that Walmart offers. It is so easy to pop into Walmart to have glasses repaired. Believe me we had to do that many times. Great prices and a large selection of frames in every price range. The staff is very friendly and actually get to know you over the years.

Four stars. The doctor is professional and does a detailed examination. When I had problems with one eye, he took the time to do a more complex exam at no additional cost. The rest of the staff are friendly but not always available. I've had to wait for assistance because they were all in the back room-even when I had an appointment. They are, however, very helpful and patient when it comes to answering questions or finding the right frames for my face. I've arrived fifteen minutes before close to have my frames fixed and they were just as friendly. So, one star off for the waiting, but I'd still recommend it!

Outstanding customer service! I have been going to Walmart Vision Center for many years and love the doctors and staff! They are very friendly and eager to help. I have NEVER had a bad experience and often refer friends. Conveniently located, friendly and knowledgeable. .......I couldn't ask for anything more!
