After I got my glasses I noticed a minor problem with them. They had me come in the next day and the problem was quickly fixed. Everyone was very professional and so pleasant. Glasses are expensive but these were cheaper than my last eye place. Now I know why my family comes here

I was visiting from out of town and woke up with a terrible pain in my eye. I looked online for an eye doctor and found Skiba Vision Center. I called and explained my situation to the woman that answered the phone. She was so understanding and kind. She told me they could see me if I could head over there soon and that they would fit me in. I saw Dr. Styma and she was wonderful! She knew right away what it was and really explained to me in terms that I could understand what was going on with my eye and what we were going to do to try to help it. She told me she would send over my paperwork to my eye doctor back at home so that they would know what was going on and that she wanted me to follow up with them. She dilated my eye to stop the pain (And it worked!) And called in a prescription for steriod drops. I immediately started feeling better after I left. The drops helped so much and with 20 minutes of me leaving the office my ophthalmologist at home had already called me to schedule an appointment and said Dr. Styma had contacted them. When I saw my DO he told me he was really impressed with Dr. Styma and how quickly she handled things, her diagnosis and the treatment. I am SO THANKFUL for their kindness and for getting me in so quick. I was hundreds of miles from home and i was able to stop panicking and enjoy the rest of my weekend pain free. Dr. Styma really helped me. I can't recommend them enough. THANK YOU!!!

I have keratoconus. For years, I'd been told by several specialists that my only option was a double cornea transplant. When I came here I was already in that mindset. I didn't want to get a transplant, but I'd have to discuss it. To my surprise, they began fitting me for scleral lenses. It was a process, and I was fearful. My doctor was patient. Accurate. Kind. Understanding. He fitted me for lenses, which I believed wasn't possible, and he gave me the greatest gift of sight back. I wasn't able to see a straight line for over a decade. Now I can see. Literally a miracle. There's no possible way I could ever thank this vision center considering how I feel. There are no words to describe it. You gave me the hope and freedom to live normally again. Thank you.

The staff is always helpful and kind and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that we have what we need. They have a large selection of frames and the staff is very knowledgeable. They make getting new glasses and contacts easy!

A group of us were camping in Oscoda and sadly one of our group members lost their prescription eyewear in the water. We called and gave them the prescription to cut new lens. We were an hour away and it was 1:30. They close at 3:00 pm. Tara was rude right from the beginning of the call. She hurried the person trying to give her the prescription numbers, mind you that she could barely see the numbers to read to her, and Tara wasn't willing to stay open, even 15-20 minutes to help out this young adult that is practically blind without the glasses. She basically said, nope and sorry about your luck. I said that were were from 3+ hours away and the lack of concern was appalling. I explained that this was a safety hazard for this person. I hope that this company reviews the definition of customer service with Tara, and if she can't figure out what that means, then I hope that they can define the word termination for her. Being kind isn't that hard, and I'm hopeful that whatever has made Tara such a miserable person can be remedied with some sort of therapy. #mentalhealthissuesarereal

Dr. Tyler and his staff have been wonderful to work with. His eye exams are very thorough. When I suddenly developed some vision issues, the staff had me come in within a couple hours. Dr. Tyler found a tear in my retina. He referred me to a retinal specialist for laser surgery the following day. When I saw the retinal specialist, he asked me who my regular eye doctor was because he wanted to be able to refer patients in Northeast Michigan to him. The retinal specialist said he was impressed that Dr Tyler found the tear as it could have been easily missed. I'm thankful for the treatment I've received from Skiba Vision. I could have easily lost my vision in that eye without Dr Tyler's intervention. Thank you!

Guys I cannot recommend them highly enough. Before I went to Skiba vision, I could read only large print and thought I had terrible eyes. As it turned out, I just had terrible glasses. Now I read even small print very easily. Thank you Skiba!

I needed a new doctor when I moved back & they got me in very quick. Tyler was great, my glasses and contacts came in super fast, and the entire staff was extremely friendly!
