UPDATE: While I appreciate your response and attempt to defend your practices, your information is incorrect. I trialed one new pair of contacts which I did not like. This was a brand change and nothing to do with prescription. I came back in, after not hearing follow up from Doctor which I was told that I would, a week later an ordered the type that I had used previously. I consider this follow up and feedback. Regardless of this, the prescription was grossly and undisputedly incorrect. That is just negligence as the precription in either eye wasn't even close. In the few visits that I have been there, the mistakes are anything but few and far between. Honestly, the transition to the new ownership has been more than disappointing. On my first visit which was with Mr. King, I was prescribed the drastically wrong prescription for a year until my second visit with his wife. She was very thourough and amazing and corrected my prescription accurately. She is a great doctor. The office staff however has extremely poor follow up, doesn't seem to know what's going on half the time and almost acts put out when dealing with customers. Getting them to correctly read the files and order the right contacts is a chore in itself. Getting them to charge the right amount is a whole different challenge. They honestly dont seem trained or prepared to work with customers. On my last order, they communicated that they also no longer work with my insurance. I understand that change but, the service here isn't worth paying out of pocket or the inhouse plan they offer.

My wife and I loved this place when it was Ray's. The doctor was great, the staff was super friendly and helpful. They were so happy that we had VSP because as they said "VSP covers everything and really takes care of their customers". They were more than happy to work us into their schedule in a way that my wife kids and I could all get in at the same time since we have busy schedules. Since it became King it is not the same and my family will not be returning. They are reluctant to schedule us all at the same time and seem frustrated when they finally do. The staff was very critical of the glasses that I wanted and almost tried to make me feel bad about them. Getting contacts for my wife has been an absolute nightmare saga that we are 6 months into at this point and STILL don't have the contacts she wants and that work for her. All she really wants is the same contacts she had before but for whatever reason King is fighting her tooth and nail. The final nail in their coffin for us was when we received a letter from them stating that they have to come out of pocket on their end more than they are comfortable doing for their customers with VSP insurance so they won't be taking our insurance anymore but that we didn't have to worry because we could also buy insurance from them. King is another example of the issues plaguing our medical system. Doctors don't become doctors because they have a passion for practicing medicine anymore. They do it because it pays well. In my experience King falls into this category. They got into optometry not because they have a passion for it and want to help people, but because they can make a lot of money doing it.

I used to go to another place here in town but after several issues with delays on delivery and waiting months to get my contacts, I went to Kings. They took care of me immediately and I had my contacts in just over a week. I then went back to renew my prescription and it was flawless. They listened to me and gave me a couple of options to try. Got my new batch within two weeks and I'm all set until next year. I recommend them to anyone in the Battle Creek area.

My children and I had eye exams with Dr. Isabel King and her staff. They were so great with my 9 year old boys, even though all the wiggles as they tried to sit still. We were able to avoid dilation and instead have digital images taken. The kids said the eye exam was "cool" after we left. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to find an optometrist in the Battle Creek area.

Excellent care! They took great care of my daughter and went over the top to make sure her needs were met and the glasses she got were just perfect.

hi my wife went here today for her diabetes eye exam and everyone there was so nice the receptionist that help us with typing in your info was very nice then my wife saw another lady in pink before she saw mrs king and said she was very nice. and mrs king was very nice with my wife answered all her questions told her about how her exam wentlisten to all her concerns. she was very polite everyone here are wonderful people. this was our first time here and so we will highly recommend anyone looking to get a eye exam to consider coming here these people are the best here.

My husband and I and our two kids (9 and 11 y.o) recently had our first visits. I had been searching for somewhere to give my family a thorough eye exam and be honest about our needs. I was very pleased with our experience. Both doctors were wonderful and very knowledgeable. They were very thorough and explained everything to us. The staff was also great and very friendly from setting up the appointments to checking in and out. I would recommend bringing your family here for great eye care.

Wonderful experience all around! Great staff and Dr. King was wonderful! Took her time to explain what she was doing or looking at and made the whole exam a knowledge experience. I appreciate the care she took and she wasn't rushing anything. I highly recommend Rays Optical(soon to be Kings)
