I've been wearing contacts for 35 years. I normally go to America's best.. they give me the acuvue copies. WAY CHEAPER AND SUPER comfortable.. I HATE THE BRAND SHE SOLD ME! After I ran out of contacts! I tried to order the old brand from her. Told her I didn't like the FIT or the price.. she said I should have come within 30 days?! I still had contacts .. I wasn't out yet! I have never have been treated so horrible. She refused to stop speaking over me then started to say I was yelling. I will save myself MONEY and time and if I HAVE TO PAY FOR ANOTHER EXAM WHY ON EARTH WOULD I GO BACK TO THIS PLACE? They just want to gouge you

I lived downtown and have been going to this location for about 10 years. My experience has always been pleasant. The staff is friendly, accommodative, and efficient. I buy frames elsewhere because I'm rather picky about the brand and selection, mainly because I have a narrow face (few frames "fit right").

I didn't have a great or "Wow" experience. The Optometrist gave a quick exam then sent me back to the lobby. THEN she decided she wanted to go back and dilate my pupils...then went on for a while with the exam and finally she was done. Afterwards I told her I had some thyroid issues and THEN she said "oh, it looks like you have some issues I can see..." but the exam was over and she said nothing until I mentioned it. Then they did not enter my contact info (phone number) and just gave up trying...no email or anything to let me know the glasses were ready. I had to contact them...no big deal but shows a bit of incompetence. When I went to pick up the glasses which took 2 minutes, I had to wait while they chit chatted and laughed and reminisced all day with other customers/patients; not respecting my time factor. I had to leave and come back. Not a bad place, but that was my experience.

I've been going to this location since 2017 and have had nothing but great experiences. The staff is wonderful, especially CJ. She's always so welcoming, cheerful, and positive, and she helps me choose my glasses every year.

Came downtown to spend the entire day for my Anniversary. It started to sprinkle and when went to clean my glasses off the nose pad ripped in half leaving a sharp plastic corner jabbing my nose. Let me tell you how elated I was that Heritage was right downtown open and able to replace my nose pad. They took me right in and replaced both pads plus tighten the arm screws for a ridiculously reasonable and fair price. The lady's were wonderful, helpful and even gave great recommendations for dessert. To say I was just another a happy customer would be understated. Thanks you for saving my day and letting me see the true Detroit

The officer manager Diane, told me I had to pay $60 to order contacts since I waited 60 days. After the doctor gave me 3 different trial pairs that were uncomfortable. If an eye exam is only covered once a year why do I need to pay to try a different brand of contacts. I will take my services back to America's Best. They are more affordable and friendly. I will never return here again.

TO ALL PEOPLE, BE CAREFUL OF THE PRICING! My mom went in, just for a woman to try to SCAM her and tell her that she couldn't get the progressive lenses and frames that she NEEDED/wanted....which was all covered a previous time she ordered the same exact frames and lenses. The woman told her that in order to get her glasses, she'd have to pay nearly $200 even though this was the same prescription and lenses that she ordered before (All Covered under her insurance for free!) My mother called the insurance company who confirmed that everything she wanted AND needed was indeed covered by the insurance and can be completed with her prescription and needs. To say the least, someone needs to get either fired or re-trainined because what we're not going to do in Detroit is SCAM people (and my community) out of their money knowing very well that people have certain amount of coverage that CAN actually cover everything in its entirety! I am very upset in this location. To the thousands of people who have read my reviews, I will keep you all updated on what happens next. Side note, to the owner of this establishment, Get It Together, or sell off to someone who actually cares about people's health and needs.

This is great place. 1. Customer Service. The ladies at this location are just like home. They provided patience and were very efficient. Joyce was so delightful. Also, it is very clean!!! You will find some beautiful frames and more at this store. I highly recommend visiting this store. The heart of the city of Detroit. Best optical store in Michigan
