Been going here for over 10 plus years family operated. Only place I get my glasses they cut and customize my frames to my liking so you will never see anyone with your glasses... they never disappoint best place I recommend to everyone that compliments my glasses!!!

The glass in the prescription appeared the same as the original except with a tint. When I returned them the professional was far different than the original visit. Far less " welcoming and bordered on rude.They also didn't open on time. I will not return a 3rd time. I visited others and chose this establishment because it's a black business, instead of the ones I've visited in the past. I cannot recommend this optical.

I got a refraction that was drastically different than my last prescription. I have a trip tomorrow. Called all over for same day glasses and they accommodated me! Glasses are great. And was a great price. Staff was friendly and I am so thankful to have glasses before a big trip. Highly recommend!

If you prioritize minimal communication and anticipate a prolonged wait of over a month for your eyewear to be ready, this establishment may be suitable for you. I encountered repeated instances of needing to visit the store to inquire about the status of my glasses, only to be met with unprofessional attitudes and lack of explanation regarding the delay. Despite being a long-standing customer, I have consistently received rudeness as a result of this experience.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT BLACK & WHITE, it is a HORRIBLE PLACE!! I went because it is black owed but, the staff are liars!! My glasses had been there for 3 weeks & had not been touched. I was calling making sure the process was going smoothly so I wouldnt run into any problems at pick up time. Staff told me "everything was going fine" but at pick up time everything was not fine. I had to get my glasses & money back & take my glasses some place else. A waste of 3 weeks, very unprofessional!! The 1 star I gave goes to the acting manager & the receptionist who was very nice.

I arrived on time for my appointment the staff was really welcoming as I was greeted nicely by a few associates. I had my eye exam and picked out glasses all within 40 minutes. Great job thank you everyone for being so friendly and kind. I had an awesome experience. Edit: Staff had the same energy when I went back to pick up my glasses two weeks later. Awesome job!

Been dealing with this place for many years. Great staff however, I purchased a $1000 pair of Cardiar glasses. Took them here to get my prescriptions put in. Paid $400. They were never done correctly. I have taken them back several times. A waste of $1400. I can't even sell them because I was never given the original lens back.

I visited the Eastpointe office on 8 mile, Sat. 1/4/25. I was greeted well. Everyone was nice & professional. Annette waited on me to choose my eyeglasses. She was Very helpful & nice. She also gave me great advice regarding my choices & options. I will definitely return in the future. I also will refer family & friends to their location. I will give another update when I return to pick up my glasses. Update on 1/28/25- I took in new Cartier glasses that I purchased elsewhere. I also purchased a second pair from Black & White Look Optical. I was told that my Cartiers would take 3 weeks to be ready & the 2nd pair 7-10 days. After calling several times to get updates, the Cartiers were ready in 26 days (almost 3 weeks) & the 2nd pair were ready in exactly 3 weeks. Both pairs turned out great & I'm overall satisfied with them. But the wait time for completion is Crazy! With all that being said, PACK YOUR PATIENCE while waiting for your glasses to be ready!
