Had a appointment here today (1/19/26) and the staff and especially the lady that greeted me had a smile and a very great personality. The Optometrist was kind and forth coming and got on me after telling him my A1C was high after he found some things going on with my eyes he was very concerned and even lectured me gave me some alternatives that which I didn't want to hear and because I neglected my eyes I needed to hear what he had to say, and with a little more of a concern he told what to do and gave me a year to turn it around for the better of my eye health. Overall staff was great everyone had smiles on their face and they took care of me. Got me some glasses(finally) with the help of the Assistant..can't wait to finally be able to see again. THANK YOU SVS!!!
I want to thank Shanee, Megan, and Shella for my great and outstanding customer service. The wait was not long although there were people before me. I went in to have my nose guards replaced and was offered other services, but declined. These ladies made me a returning customer as of today. Not because it's around the corner from where I live by truly because of the customer service it self. Thanks again ladies.
This was my first time visiting this site. I was met with a 'good morning,' and that means a lot to me. I'm big on customer service. The front desk clerk was friendly and attentive. I was then assisted by Kai, who demonstrated not only quality customer service but also a compassionate heart, because I visited after the passing of my grandson, and she was very concerned. I want to publicly thank Kai for the time, effort, and quality service provided to me. I've been having problems with my new scripture, and Kai has been helpful in trying to rectify that problem. In my opinion, SVS is very fortunate to have a 'Kai' working for them. Kai's dedication and genuine care truly make a difference in the lives of her customers. Her kindness during my difficult time not only eased my burden but also exemplified the values that SVS stands for.
This place is the best. Shella and Shenee are incredibly professional. They know their stuff and are super helpful.
My appointment was cancelled, b/c when they called to confirm, my phone number was not in service. I gave her my correct phone number.
I called the next day to inquire about my insurance and to see if my insurance had, in fact, approved the purchase. I also wanted to make sure, for a second time, that they corrected my phone number. The person I spoke to told me that my phone number was correct and they will call me when my glasses where available for pick-up.
I called on June 25, 2025, to inquire about my glasses and encountered Angie. Angie told me my glasses were ready for pickup and have been since June 3rd or 4th (I can't remember which she said). I had not been contacted by them b/c my phone number in the system was incorrect. I have been without my glasses for almost a month, & I tried to correct my phone number in their system on two occasions. They didn't try to contact me by other means of communication, such as mail or email. Angie told me that I didn't have an email on file. I asked Angie when I completed my paperwork, I'm certain that I would have put all my demographic information on it, including my email. Angie started raising her voice and telling me that they don't have paperwork to complete. At this point, I informed Angie that I would have had to complete documents and consent forms to see the eye doctor. I believe Angie comprehended the fact that I used the word "paperwork" literally (believing that I meant actual paper documents) instead of just meaning I completed data as a new patient. All new patients complete forms on a tablet. When she started raising her voice, I asked her what her name was. At that point, she hung up the phone on me.
I called back five times in a row before someone answered the phone. The person on the phone pretended like she didn't know who I was, although she literally just hung up on me less than five minutes ago. She let me know that there was no an office manager at this site (which was a lie). She also let me know that there was no escalation process (also a lie). She told me that she was the only person I could speak with regarding this matter. I informed her that there has to be some sort of escalation process and asked her name again. She told me her name was Angie, (I'm unsure if this is her real name). I asked her what was the process to receiving a refund, and she told me that I can come in the store to receive a refund, but I would have to come the next day b/c the store was closed. Also a lie, b/c the store didn't close until 6pm.
Angie, then dared to say that she was trying to help me, at which I and asked her how are you trying to help me, you aren't answering my questions, and you hung up on me. Angie had the audacity to pretend to be offended and told me that I was being disrespectful and hung up yet again.
I called corporate and filed a formal complaint. They called me back today and told me they spoke to the Office Manager (Stella), the one Angie told me that didn't exist! Stella said their phone sometimes hangs up. Stella said that Angie hung up on me b/c I used profanity. Clarence, the person who was handling my concern, also informed me that she told him that, "they told you they were closed and to come tomorrow, because they were about to close and they didn't know how far away you were"! I'm guessing that Angie didn't tell her what happened during the initial call when Angie raised her voice and hung up on me b/c she didn't want to give me her name.
I called the office after I got off the phone with corporate and encountered someone who told me that Stella was out to lunch and won't be back in the office until 2pm. She informed me that Stella will be in the office from 2pm to 5pm for the remainder of the day. Keep in mind that I called at 12:15pm, so maybe SVS gives extended lunch hours. Anyways, my experience with this office was extremely unprofessional. This office has no accountability for its employees' bad customer service.
This location.. idk, last year it was fine but something happened since. I called for myself back in April to get my eyes rechecked. My insurance benefits start over at the beginning of the year, I called my insurance to verify this, but when I called to schedule an eye exam, they refused to schedule me until exactly my last time being seen... It would have been maybe a month early, that I was asking for, glasses were broken. So I went somewhere else and got them done with absolutely no problem. Then I called to schedule my son's.. the person told me they were booked through May and if I needed to get them done immediately I needed to take him to another location.. I was fine waiting.. but she was rude. Fast forward to finally the day of his appointment. Lyfted there to be told that the manager supposedly called to cancel the appt because he wasn't eligible. He's type 1 diabetic, he gets eye exams every year, insurance covered. She did NOT call, the ONLY call I got was on Tuesday with the robocaller to confirm his appt. As well as the 2 texts to confirm and let us know if we couldn't make it to call to avoid a no show violation. The person tried to input it once but she got locked out and didn't bother to call the insurance either. Just kinda said sorry and hope you have a good day... So we had to Lyft back home. I would have liked for the manager to ACTUALLY HAVE CALLED ME SO I DIDN'T SPEND MONEY I REALLY DIDN'T HAVE TO WASTE OUR TIME TO COME UP THERE FOR NOTHING!
My husband and I have each been here for glasses and exams many times. They are very personable, helpful and work w our insurance. And our glasses always arrive quickly and are exactly right. We will continue to shop here.
The ladies were very friendly and helpful. I was set on having getting my prescription and picking out frames from somewhere else because they did not have the frames I was looking for. However, the staff took their time to help me try on new frames I may love. I ended up picking out a frame that is totally different from what I was looking for, but I love them! Thanks to their patience and friendliness I found something unique.
