Eyes on Main - Fremont

Wonderful staff and excellent care! Dr. Ben is so thorough and so kind! I was having so much trouble with glasses before I came here, and they corrected my prescription and made my life so much better with new glasses. The entire staff is so welcoming and kind -I wouldn't go anywhere else!

All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable without exception, the office itself is very warm and welcoming, the service is always quick and easy, plus their selection is awesome! It's also easy to get an appointment whether you're a new or existing patient. If you want or need a new optometrist, I'd recommend Eyes On Main, especially Dr. Sikkenga!

I had never visited this office, but had an irritation in my right eye. I never thought they could fit me in, but the receptionist was able to get me an appointment right away. Dr. Ben immediately told me I had a piece of metal in my eye, and another minute to remove it. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. What a relief! Awesome service, and an awesome team. Thank you!

My husband had an issue with his glasses we got elsewhere, the wonderful staff here was able to fix the problem with out hesitation. Very friendly

My first visit to Eyes on main was an excellent experience. They are very professional yet down to earth. The welcoming and pleasant staff is fun and helpful. They are very good at what they do and have very well equipped testing and exam rooms. Dr Ben is friendly, has a great sense of humor, and explains things very well. They have an incredible selection of eyeglass frames and are concerned about your needs but do not give the hard sell. I loved my visit there and will return.

I've been to Eyes on Main twice. My first visit was colored by my current health situation and I knew it. I loved the prescription that I had received and objectively, it was a good appointment. This year, My situation was much better, and I was al"so better able to judge the office. I've worked as an optician on and off since 2005 and have known many doctors. All of them were capable, but there are a few now and then that have a knack that exceeds "capable" and becomes an art. Dr Sikkenga definitely falls into that category. I have a moderately complicated prescription and he dialed it in with ease both visits. In addition to my time with the doctor, My experience with the opticians were efficient and handled with ease. I liked it enough that I had my husband who is much easier to please set his appointment at Eyes on Main as well. to the staff at Eyes on Main -Thank you for your caring and great work.

Hands down the most incredible Optometrist I have ever been to. My husband and I had been going to another business for several years for our optometry needs. I had been quite unhappy with that place due to my glasses being made incorrectly at least 3 years in a row and a huge overcharge (overpayment on my part) the last time we went, which they never informed me of, until I discovered it and had to wait several weeks for a $300+ refund. We also never had a "welcoming" feeling from that location. We went because it was convenient. This year I decided to seek out a new optometrist and went to Eyes on Main from a recommendation. I cannot tell you how impressed we both were with the professionalism, kindness and care we received from every person at this location. First, Courtney, the Ophthalmic Technician, was wonderful. She was not only friendly, she was very thorough and did several things prior to my exam. I feel like she spent more time with me than my entire exam lasted at the place we went to previously. She explained, in detail, everything she was doing and why. Then I met Dr. Ben Sikkenga. Again, so friendly and thorough, explaining everything as he went along as well. I had to ask if our insurance covered this exam, as it was so extensive. Yes, our insurance covers the same as it covered our 15 minute visit with our past Optometrist. Lastly, their eyeglass selection is really good and their office is beautiful! If you are in need of an eye exam, or looking to switch places for reasons like we had, I highly recommend Eyes on Main in Fremont, MI. They also have a sister location, Lakeshore Eyecare on Seminole Rd. in Muskegon, MI. I guarantee you will be highly impressed! I know we were!

I am seen every 6 months for special testing because of my medication that can damage my eyes. They take very good care of me and Dr Totten is such a caring doctor that never rushes you out, always explains everything he's doing and what he's finding or not finding and listens very intently to every word you say. Very good bedside manner so to speak. He is a real joy to see twice a year!
