Dr. Veldkamp was fantastic with my three kiddos! Two of the three are neurodivergent and can require a little extra patience, which she delivered! My 10 year old who is autistic and nonverbal was doing great until they put in the eye drops to dilate his eyes. He was not so willing to follow instructions after that and wouldn't get off the floor. But no worries, Dr. Veldkamp got down on the floor with him and did his exam from there. The optical team is great too! They adjusted the kids' glasses to perfection. Highly recommend this office for the whole family!
I've been here quite awhile, I nvr miss appointments unless, I couldn't get a ride for eye dilation &, In last 12 months I've had literally 6 various surgeries & a major back surgery coming up. Only Recently, have I missed appointments.. most w/ calling you. W/ that being said, I Should NOT, be "Dropped" as a Patient! (I was told this was a possibility, by operators who don't know me from in-office visits)
Beyond that, the ppl, customer service, is spectacular & beyond expectations, & I'm loyal to All Drs & offices like this! (So, 5 STARS for the Office staff, I marked 3 only for operators),
Sincerely, L. Witte
Treated my grandfather great when he was alive- however he died and they don't have a way for me to leave a message to cancel his upcoming appointment, I work during their open hours and can't make a phone call. No phone answering machine or message service available, tried to cancel online and through their automated texts. So, they are decent, but definitely need a way to leave non-emergency messages.
Do not recommend! I was fitted for new glasses after having an eye exam and they didn't seem to be Fitted right. I went back several times, the last time the manager said they had definitely not been fitted correctly. While they fit better, I still can't see clearly out of both lenses in the new pair. They say that it's after the 90 days so I can't get a replacement pair, but they seem to believe that it's me at fault rather than the glasses. Lousy customer service.
Dr was so nice and caring but the girls at the front desk are rude. Why are they in customer service I have no idea but they are not friendly
The care here is fine, but the "customer service," or I guess what you'd call "patient service" here is awful. The office consistently overbooks itself so you end up waiting for an hour or more past your appointment time--but you're in the "second" waiting room, so I guess they don't care. But God forbid you're 10 minutes late for an appointment.
This kind of behavior is becoming too common in the medical industry. Medical providers do not respect our time but we're somehow financially responsible for their time.
At first, I thought they were wonderful, sadly not anymore. They told me I needed cataract surgery so I agreed to get it. The doctor treated me like a object on an assembly line. Then when it came to billing, about every week I was getting a bill, I couldn't make sense of it, I eventually asked for a final itemized bill sent to me, it wasn't in both aspects. Then again this week I get a new bill and I haven't been in their office in over a month. Worst part, although my vision is better, I experience light flashes, blurriness, and everyday discomfort, after weeks since my surgery. Be careful, I probably didn't need the surgery at the time, but I had Medicare, sooooo
Ridiculous you have to wait over 30 minutes past your scheduled time and still sitting in the waiting room. My time is not free. Pathetic customer service.
