Very professional and helpful! And All the staff are kind and quick. UPDATE- the recipient was incredibly rude. At first, I gave this place 5 stars, but the service of this place has gotten terrible. She asked what she could do for me then when I explained my situation she gave me a disrespectful "well I'm doing something" and pushed me off as if I was bothering her by doing what she told me to do. There is a reason there are no patients constantly at this place. The last lady who helped, offered to hold the glasses for us for the next visit. However, the recipient black hair had a terrible demeanor when I asked for help and told her what the last worker had to told us. The recipient is the first impression of the institution. The recipient is the customer service aspect yet they picked someone who has a negative attitude and hates showing up everyday and takes it out on the customers.

The staff seemed nice at first, but after dilating my eyes for examination, both the doctor and other staff were pressuring me into buying glasses from them, despite me saying I prefer buying my glasses online because they're affordable and convenient. They kept pushing me to purchase nonetheless until I relented, picking a frame I didn't like but I just wanted to hurry and get out of there since my eyes were blurry now and I felt ganged up on. I finally get to pick up my glasses weeks later, only for them to not be made right. They make me dizzy, nauseous and give me headaches. I've never had this problem when ordering online and I'm too annoyed to bother going back to make them fix the glasses. I don't plan on returning here after my unpleasant experience. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

From the eye exam to selecting my new prescription, frames, and lens package, SVS provided excellent service throughout. Great experience. Everything was super quick (in a good way). I worked with Kathleen, who is amazing but the whole staff was friendly and welcoming. Good selection of frames to choose from.

Very odd experience today at the SVS Kalamazoo location. I made an appointment online some time ago, received a confirmation and a reminder email. I arrived for my appointment today, only to be told it had been canceled (I received no call or email notification of the cancellation). They incorrectly cited a reason about my benefits, which could have been easily sorted out had the office properly communicated before hand.

My husband and I have been going to SVS for 3 years now. We have always been happy with our visits there. We were especially pleased with our appointments with Travis Bethke, O.D. Very thorough analysis and explanation. And very professional! He is a great addition to SVS in Kalamazoo!!!

Nothing great to say about this place. Wanted to give a new eyeglass store a shot and was disappointed. It all starts with the people who answer the phone and greet you at the door. I called before making my appointment to check and see if my insurance is accepted and the lady on the phone was incredibly rude with my questions saying "there's 1,000s of those insurances" instead of trying to understand what I was asking. She was not friendly and did not offer to help me with checking insurance coverages. I brushed it off and decided to make an appointment and go in person to check. The girl at the desk was no help and also did not go above and beyond to help ensure I was able to get my service with insurance coverage and same-day. I walked out with nothing and no eye exam like I had planned :/ Never coming back again.
