My daughter and I were on our way to Chicago for a dental school interview. I was supposed to bring her new contacts and I forgot! While driving one of her contact ripped. She had no extra and did not have her glasses! We were too far to turn back. She was completely stressed about the interview and not being able to see. No problem right? Surely someplace would have an extra set to sell. Well after trying three places I convinced her to try one more! That's where our Christmas miracle happened. Mechelle was the kindest lady ever! I was greeted friendly the minute I walked in. She was an amazing help and was able to get us a pair of contacts. We are not customers here but let me tell you...if we were local I would be! Check them out! Super friendly atmosphere! Ask for Mechelle!!

My husband and I have been extremely pleased with Rx Optical on South Westnedge over a number of years. We have more complicated needs than the average person, but everyone at Rx Optical has been very kind, patient, and patient-oriented. We appreciate the trouble-shooting and problem-solving! They have earned our loyalty.

I've had a long journey with battling my medicare & medicad (one minute im eligible and the next I'm over the income) insurance and figuring out who actually paid gor my last set of medically necessary gas permeable contact lenses. I am a 2 cornea transplant pt. So I see specialist at U of M Kellogg Eye Center. Towards the end of the year after having my last set of contacts for 2 years same prescription. I was told that my insurance would cover them. This was in October 2025. They book so far out. However I was able to be seen December because of a cancelation. My hopes were high but then to be let down with a follow-up call stating they would have to use my vision insurance instead of medical and theh do not accept i learned the vsp was my vision insurance. So I had to turn to Google for vsp number and I was brought to RX OPTICAL PORTAGE. which was a life saver. I had several back and forth phone calls with Lisa and she was a delight to work with. Up until working with me Lisa hasn't ordered these kind of lenses but she knew they could and she worked to figure it all out for me. I picked my new lenses up in January where I was able to Meet Lisa in person cry and tell her my story and the Goodness of Jesus for working this challenge out for my good. Now I have a new pair of contacts and I am able to see clearly!!! God is good

Lisa was great. She took the time to ensure I picked a good set of glasses that fit my face and explained the different types of computer lens available to meet my needs. She was very caring and friendly. She made the visit very enjoyable.

Me and my family have been using RX Optical-Portage location for years. Today I had an appointment and the office was extremely busy. I was really overwhelmed. Dr. Parker was super friendly and helpful as always. Lisa D. helped me with the check out process. She took her time, helped me pick out my glasses, chatted with me and made the whole check out process more comfortable. She broke everything down for me. She is extremely knowledgeable. Friendly staff! Love the big selection of glasses. I would 100% recommend this office.

An absolute Elle-ite experience at RX Optical. Elle confidently showed me frames, screens, and tiny details while I repeatedly reminded her that I couldn't actually see any of it yet because, fun twist, I was there to fix my eyesight. Instead of missing a beat, she turned my temporary blindness into witty banter and delivered flawless customer service the entire time. I couldn't see the frames, but I could clearly see Elle knew exactly what she was doing. Even fresh off a wisdom-teeth extraction, her customer service was still sharper than my vision. I didn't even pick my glasses that day (I intentionally waited to come back just so I could work with her again). 10/10 service. 20/20 results pending.... Management: if good reviews earn lunch, this one should cover appetizers, the entree, and dessert. RX Optical--never let her leave... except when her shift is over or it's her day off!

Amanda did great job with the exams. She was very friendly. And Lisa help me pick out a cute pair of glasses within my price range.

Went to RX optical today on the coldest day of the year with my broken glasses. I showed the team my glasses and they thought it might not be fixable. Amy stepped up and said no guarantees but I will try. 5 minutes later she had my glasses back to normal. Truly happy with her performance. Thanks again. Bob
