Henry Ford OptimEyes Super Vision Center - Southfield

As an OptimEyes patient for well over a decade, it saddens me to say that I can no longer recommend Henry Ford OptimEyes for your new glasses or contacts. My experience with the eye exam process, the technicians, and doctors have always been convenient, friendly, and professional. But my recent experience ordering new frames and lenses has made me reconsider ever going back, even for my annual exam. The frames I ordered in December were no longer available. Six or so weeks after I ordered them, I received a voicemail giving me two options: come back in to select a new frame or request a refund. I decided to leave work early on Saturday to pick out new frames. I arrived at 4:10PM and was refused service due to a policy about walk-ins arriving at least an hour before close. I was there because of their mistake, selling me discontinued frames. Good customer service dictates that they should accommodate me, not the other way around. I took my refund.

The facility is nice and clean. The doctors and eyewear staff were very professional and nice. The only problem I have and am discourage by, is the very front desk staff. Upon entering there are no greetings, "Someone will be with you"or anything. Most times they're engulfed in the computer, just blatantly ignore you, or look at you like a fish until available. This has happened to me on more than once. To be honest nearly every visit. Once helped everything goes by pretty smoothly. But first impressions and greetings are very important in customer service. If it weren't for the customer service recovery of the other staff and doctors I probably would opt for another location.

I had an awesome experience today at Henry Ford OptimEyes in Southfield! They were very busy today but I wasn't rushed. I had the pleasure of working with Candace! Let me tell you she is amazing at her job. She showed compassion for her team, took time to answer their questions and provide guidance, spoke with a customer who wasn't the easiest to deal with but she handled it calmly and graciously! I completely enjoyed my time speaking with her and everyone on the team that I encountered. If you are looking for great eye care and eye wear, Henry Ford OptimEyes is your spot! They make you feel right at home!

This place is awesome! Ali, Dr. Thompson and Sarah were amazing! Dr. Thompson was kind, pleasant and answered all of my questions. Sarah was fabulous and helped me pick out a great pair of glasses! The customer service here was extraordinary. So refreshing to walk into a place full of smiling people and everyone was kind from the time I walked in until the time I walked out! I will be back again!

The service you get from every employee at every different level is exceptional. They are accommodating and tolerant of all customers even those thay have gone out of their way to be difficult (ME). Watch out for all of those smiles and giggles from the staff, they do come at a price!!!! Wish I had more health coverage so I could go back more often!!!

I went here to see (pun intended) if I could get my glasses fixed, I broke one of the arms. Unfortunately it was a clean break. But, I got a great deal on my new frames and for that, I Thank God!! Rabih Rababe the office manager waited on me and he's so professional, courteous and kind!! Run don't walk to this location! You're sure to receive Awesome Service! I will be back if I ever need any other service!!

Everyone was friendly and helpful. The tech wbo did the preexam, exams was ftiendly and helpful. The optometrist took extra care to get the perscription right. The person who helped me pick out glasses was patient snd helpful. Overall a wonderful experience.

This was my first experience at this location, and it was very disappointing. I normally visit the Clinton Township location, where the staff is always professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, this location was the complete opposite. The employees here appeared uninterested, unprofessional, and at times even rude. Several of them were laughing and chatting with each other while customers waited, instead of providing assistance. If they're unhappy with their jobs, perhaps this isn't the right place for them to work. I was told that someone would contact my daughter's insurance company to confirm coverage for her lenses. Not only did they fail to follow up, but when I called back, they told me it was my responsibility to do it -- despite promising they would handle it themselves. On top of that, the staff seemed unsure of their own procedures and gave out incorrect information. It felt like they lacked proper training and professionalism. I've never had these issues at the Clinton Township location, which provides excellent customer service every time. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location to anyone.
