I had the greatest experience here today and I want anyone reading these reviews to know about it. Dr. Zimnicki and her entire Team are simply amazing. They are all dedicated PROS and it's obvious they are unified in their objective of great service. Or so it appears! I was treated so warmly and professionally from the time I entered at 7:45 am. If you're looking for an office that leads with customer care FIRST, then you need to check these guys out. I see a few bad reviews here but they are probably crazy goofballs who use this platform to complain more than they do verbally. Thank you ALL for treating me so well this morning. An eye exam is actually something I'm looking forward to now. :)

If you're looking for compassion you won't find it here, the little Asian doctors professionalism and understanding is equal to his small stature. After all the time and money I spent their treating my eye injury and all I received out of him was attitude, short answers and treated very poorly. I understand I'm a patient but I was also a customer... More importantly I was a patient! This little man has a very poor bedside manner and I would rather go blind than ever go back there and have him treat me again.

WARNING MISDIAGNOSED W/ GLAUCOMA** I should've posted sooner to help others, please read to spare yourself! I was seen by Dr. Zelenak (this was a few years ago now) when I came in my eye pressure was high due to an antibiotic I was taking for a sty (confirmed from the second Dr I saw). Dr Zelenak diagnosed me with glaucoma, and partial vision loss in one eye, and I did the laser surgery to relieve the pressure in both my eyes. 6 months later I returned for my follow up, and Dr Zelenak came in and said "it looks like you have glaucoma your eye pressure is 16, you would benefit from the laser surgery" I was confused, first off 16 is normal, and he had just preformed this surgery on me 6 months prior, so I told him that he's already seen and diagnosed me before, and that he already did a surgery on both my eyes for this diagnosis. He looked confused and then said oh yes, but your pressure is still high so we need to preform the surgery again. Now that raised red flags. I decided to go to an eye Dr that some of my patients went to (he did not accept Medicaid). When I saw the new eye Dr he said the pressure in both my eyes were normal (14 in one 15 in the other), and there seemed to be no vision loss, but he wants to see me again because the pressure could be low due to the laser surgery (also the new eye Dr could not find any signs of scarring in the back of my eyes from the laser surgery). I asked the new eye Dr why he didn't dilate my eyes before the eye test (where you click the button for the lights) he said because it causes inaccurate readings (for vision loss). I explained that the previous eye Drs office (Michigan eyecare) was dilating my eyes every time before this vision test. The Dr did say I have this soft spot (sometimes found in glaucoma patients) and that he'd like to get the records from the other eye Dr to see what he had said in his report about my diagnosis, the vision loss, and the surgery he preformed, and then have me return in 6 months for another glaucoma and vision test to see if there are any changes. I signed the release for the new eye Dr to get my records and I returned 6 months later. The new eye Dr ran the same tests, and again no signs of glaucoma or vision loss at all. The new eye Dr also told me that he requested my records numerous times and that Dr Zelenaks office would not release them to him, why not? Very suspicious. The new eye Dr said he was just going to treat me as a new patient who is being tested for glaucoma. The new eye Dr said that there were absolutely no changes, and that I do not have any loss of vision in either eyes, pressure was still 14, and that I had no signs of glaucoma at all, but he'd like to run the test one more time just to completely rule out Dr Zelenaks "findings" of glaucoma. I returned again 6 months later, ran all of the tests again, and the new eye Dr said my vision is fine, pressure is great, and that I do not have glaucoma at all. Now it's been a few years since I started seeing the new eye Dr, and I still have normal readings (no glaucoma, no vision loss). This new eye Dr is very reputable, and I'm so glad I got a second opinion because I went from worrying about losing my eyesight at 37yrs old to glaucoma, to finding out I was misdiagnosed by Dr Zelenak. All I can say is I'm so glad that Dr Zelenak didn't remember diagnosing me with glaucoma, or else I would've never questioned it. How does a Dr forget diagnosing a patient, and then trying to preform the same surgery on that same person when the surgery is supposed to last at least a year? Beware and get a second opinion ALWAYS because some Drs don't care about their patients just about the money they can get from them. Also I understand sometimes people can be misdiagnosed, but the fact he diagnosed me twice not even realizing I was the patient he just diagnosed was not normal, then they didn't want to release my records, very suspicious. Should've posted this sooner in case he has misdiagnosed others.

I always have a smooth transition when I come to this office. The staff is professional and friendly. Also the doctors are thorough and caring about the patient and their eyes. They don't just process you, they take time to explain your eye diagnosis, and how they can help you to enjoy your vision. 5 is my story and I'm sticking to it !!!
