Family Eye Care Associates - St. Clair Shores

I would give 10 stars. Best eye care I've ever experienced. Very pleasant staff extremely knowledgeable with insurance. The care is exceptional Dr. Schick is kind and takes time explaining your care and answering your questions. I wish all medical care was as pleasant as this office is.

Very disappointed. I was on vacation and needed to get my glasses tightened. I came in on Friday October 10, 2025. It was only one person at the front desk when I walked in. She was on a call so I waited. It was the lady to the left. She took my glasses in the room that's behind the front desk. It was taken longer than expected. She came out to tell me they broke my glasses. Offered to put tape on my glasses. I refused. Why would I walk around with tape on my glasses? She check to see if I had a warranty. I do. I was told that there other location had the frame. That it would be here Tuesday. I was given a loaner pair of glasses. Which look nothing like my other pair. In fact they were something I would never choose. Cheetah print on the side. But I can see to drive home. I came back Thursday October 16 after dropping my son off to school. Waited about 30 minutes until they opened. I told one of the staff members why I was there. She came out to get me. Gave them my glasses and she came back out with the loner pair. My glasses are on back order and still waiting for them. No communication and I hate the loaner pair. Just an update. I did receive my glasses.

Very nice place. The people that work there were all very respectful, patient, calm, and informative. Very good at communicating, and just overall a safe environment. It feels safe, and relaxed in there. They took care of me with laughs, jokes and conversations that could make someone's day. Highly recommended spot ! ! !

Best eye place I have been to in a long time. The staff and doctors were extremely nice and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in the door until the moment I left. I had to go for an eye exam and pick out my glasses and I was in and out in less than an hour. The staff helped me with everything I needed and the doctor made sure I understood what was going on. They said my glasses should arrive in about 7-10 days and then I can go pick them up 100% covered by insurance! No money out of pocket! I thought it was going to be so much more difficult than it was. 5 out of 5 stars, I will definitely be returning!

Dr. Schick is easily the best eye doctor I've had in over 40 years! He explains things well, not just about my own eye health care, but understands family history and helps me understand what my parents have been through. Prescriptions are always accurate, and he even considers my work and life environment when doing so. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

Warm and welcoming staff. Very impressed with the knowledge and professionalism. This will be my go to spot for my eye care.

This eyecare place have the latest technology for your eyes to make everything accurate. I usually take my child to children's Hospital thinking it's the best because it's Children's Hospital. They misdiagnosed my son's eyes to the point where he did not wear the glasses so I decided to find this place thank God I did. He loves wearing his glasses now and he never takes them off. Clearly, the latest technology is the best for your child eye care and this is the right place to choose so you can be diagnosed with the correct lenses for your eye care health.

They are the best. Got something stuck in my eye and they fit me in same day on 2 different occasions. Very accommodating. Has much better equipment and know how then an urgent care and found what they missed. I'll never go to urgent care for eye related matters again. Very professional highly reccomend.
