Switch Eye Center

I just had cataract surgery on July 18th 2025. Dr. Switch did my surgery with follow-up care done by both Dr. Rasansky and Dr. Switch. The surgery was quick and painless even though I was scared like anybody else would be. It was a great experience overall, everybody was so caring and understanding, and nothing even hurt. Dr. Switch was informative throughout the procedure and you don't feel anything, you are sedated. It was much easier than I thought it would be. I trust this doctor thoroughly and I'm glad that he is nearby. I would highly recommend him and his staff they're all terrific.

Came in as a walk in. Everyone was super nice and respectful. Didn't wait that long and the Doctor was able to explain everything in a manner in which I could understand, and answered all my questions.

Wonderful staff very professional and work together like a well oiled machine. Dr. Switch takes his surgery very seriously and discusses with the patient all the options available so the patient and doctor can make a decision that works for the patient. They work smooth and take time with you. I never felt rushed in the office or in surgery. Thank you all for what you do to make me see clearly again. You are all THE BEST

Dr. Switch and the entire staff of Switch Eye Center are the absolute Best of the Best. From the moment you arrive you are taken care of. (Wish all medical offices ran this well.) The staff listens to you and thoroughly examines issues you may be experiencing. They provide a comprehensive evaluation and explain everything to you ensuring you understand. I have never felt like I was being rushed through an appointment. Nine years ago Dr. Switch performed cataract surgery on one of my eyes. Took about 30 minutes only because mine was a bit more advanced. (Normally takes about 20 minutes.) I was able to see the next day. I would not hesitate to have any procedures performed by Dr. Switch.

We feel so fortunate to have the best professionals available, anywhere, at Switch Eye Center. The professionalism, courtesy and expertise are top notch. We wouldn't trust our eyes to anyone else. My husband's cataract surgery was a breeze and so successful. I'm not quite there yet, but no one has ever provided such a thorough exam and such extensive information as Dr. Switch did at my annual eye exam. Highest of recommendations.

I believe this will be my most important review of all. Who are you going to trust with your vision? After studying options, I entrusted Dr Switch with my one and only pair of eyes. The staff is courteous and helpful. All of my questions were answered by Dr Switch and his clinician. The front staff took care of all of the other essentials like appointments and the likes. I had my first eye surgery to remove the cataract lens and replace with an acrylic lens. I felt very confident in the doctor and was very comfortable throughout the procedure. I experienced a blurriness that was like having a fogged up lens on a pair of glasses and was a little worried. It was after hours and I called Dr Switch's cell and he took the time while at home to explain what was happening and reassured me. I don't know if all eye doctors offer their cell number for after hours care, but I found it to be a huge plus. The bottom line... Don't trust your eyes to just anyone. Do some research and go with a doctor who is a leader in this field with a lot of experience. If you live in this area, I would highly recommend the Switch Eye Center. I chose to write this review now, before the second surgery because, I am confident in how it will go and really wanted to get this review out immediately. Maybe one person will be influenced and will make the right decision before I am done. I would like to say a few things that may help with becoming more comfortable with your decision. Let's get the ugly out of the way. This is mostly for those that don't like eye drops being applied There will be eye drops before and after the surgery. One drop four times per day before and for the first week after. Then it decreased to twice and once. The nice thing here is that Dr Switch uses a compound eye drop solution that contains 3 medicines, greatly reducing the number of drops others have to use. I wanted to get this out of the way because many find eye drops difficult to apply and most of us would find taking as many as 12 per day majorly inconvenient. The drops are MANDATORY WHERE EVER YOU GO, so why not have to do it less? Now for the meat and potatoes... The actual procedure. This surgery really is a piece of cake compared to most. It is done in a very short time. I experienced zero pain. If you don't like things close to your eye such as putting in contacts, I think you will find this different. You don't see much more than a real bright light At one point, the doctor said "a little pressure for a moment", which I only experienced as an odd and very slightly uncomfortable feeling for a few seconds, but more odd than uncomfortable. I think the whole procedure entails some level of an odd feeling, but nothing alarming. Just be still and listen to Dr Switch as he tells you what is happening. Wow it's over all ready! Btw... I have experienced immediate results and am comfortable doing everything with no glasses and my other eye still blurry by itself. The new lens has pretty much taken over. I was reading license plates and signs all the way home. I spy a... a lot, and without glasses! I would like to thank Dr Switch and all of his staff that have greatly improved my day as well as my vision. I hope this review was of some use to someone who is contemplating this surgery. I have been a patient of Dr. Switch close to 30 years and there is no one I trust more for eye or medical advice than him. My vision was extremely poor corrected for years with thick glasses, Doc did my laser eye corrective surgery when he felt the technology was a save and affordable solution for ME. Dr. Switch is the definition of trusted and honest doctor and a great person. I'm forever grateful to him for the experience of near perfect vision without glasses.
