My experience yesterday was amazing. The two women in the adjustments area were amazing. They made my day. They were very pleasant, patience and inviting. That's the appointment I've ever experienced anywhere. I know one of the ladies name was Kim and I I'm drawing a blank on the other young lady but she did an amazing job adjusting my glasses. I was around 4:30.

Nancy was amazing! She helped me check out my glasses and made the whole process so quick and smooth. She was friendly, efficient, and made everything super easy. I really appreciated how helpful and professional she was. Such a great experience thanks to her!

This review is STRICTLY for the retail department of this location, their Opthalmology department is perfectly acceptable. I wasn't going to post anything, but I feel like I should be transparent about my experience. This is the second time I've had an issue with this location. The first time was years ago when they ordered the wrong glasses (frames & lens) for me, but it wasn't so egregious I couldn't use them, so seeing as the prescription was fine, I just kept them and didn't make a scene over it. This time, I just needed a replacement set of frames since my current one snapped. I had put in an order for one, was told it would arrive in 2-3 days, but it took over a week before they arrived. When I went to pick them up, they were damaged and was missing a nose piece. Things happen, I get it, so I told them to reorder another set. I also requested my prescription, which they provided. My sister had told me about an online company that also sells prescription glasses for fair prices (insurance not required) so I thought I would buy a backup pair, just to be safe. This is where it really got me annoyed to the point that I'm writing this post. I waited another week for the second set of frames to come in, but I never received a call from OptimEyes, so I called them. When I asked about my order, the person that answered sounded like they had no clue what I was talking about and had to ask their manager. Once they did that, they told me those frames were on backorder and the only pair they had were the in-store demo set (which I specifically told them I didn't want during my initial visit). I find it weird that they didn't bother to notify me that these frames were back ordered, especially since over a week had passed. If you ask me, they totally forgot to place the order in the first place. Wanting to just get it done with, I told them that's fine and I would come pick them up the next day. Guess what else showed up the next day? Those extra glasses I ordered from that online store. No problems, prescription was perfect. So why would anybody go through all this wasted time and effort with a brick and mortar when I could have just gotten a new pair online, just as quick? Also, I'm lucky that I kept my old pair that's held together by tape and JB Weld because otherwise, I would be blind (-9.25 prescription). My main gripe is how can this be considered acceptable service? That's 15 days from when I came in to place an order to when I had a function pair of glasses again. Here's a timeline breakdown of what happened: Jan 6 - called to order frame Jan 8 - called for update Jan 10 - called for update Jan 12 - received call for pickup & told them to reorder frame Jan 13 - Ordered from Online Store Jan 20 - called for update & was told they're backordered Jan 21 - picked up demo frame & Online glasses delivered. I'm giving 2* and not 1 because I understand not everything is within their control, such as damage during shipping, but I'm also very confident that they lied about the frames being backordered because any normal business that tells you they're going to order something that day, would know it's backordered at the same time...not a week later when the client calls for an update. I have screenshots of all this information and would post it, but it looks like that function has been disabled.

New customer at Henry Ford and I came in by myself this time to try it out. I was honestly really impressed with how helpful Dawn was. She was calm, patient, and didn't rush me at all, even though the place is big and clearly stays busy. What I appreciated most is that she actually listened to what I wanted and what I usually go for, then made suggestions that fit me -- not a sales pitch. I went in thinking I'd just do the basic like I normally do, but she explained the differences in a simple way and helped me choose something a little better that I actually feel good about. It was such an easy, pleasant experience that I'll be bringing my sons back to see her next. If you can, ask for Dawn she was awesome

I really liked the medical assistant and doctor. The optician who assisted me with my glasses was very robotic. Not very personable or helpful. He was extremely "cut and dry". I think he said 3 sentences to me: "Here's your options what do you want? This is the price difference. The total is..."This person should not be on the "sales floor" or needs further development on how to interact with people.

Well this experience was like no other. This is the 1st time I left unhappy with the Dr. This was my 1st time seeing Dr. Trapp and I hope I don't see him again. He was so dry and seemed irritated. Didn't make me feel welcomed at all. Even when I was trying to explain what happened he kinda brushed me off and interrupted me. So I shut down to get the exam over with. The only reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 0 stars is because David the salesman was the absolute best. He was very assuring and patient and helped me find the perfect glasses that fit my face. Gave his honest opinion on what looked right and what didn't. And even though you (the office) need a bigger selection of frames we found a pair that I was satisfied with. And when I was ready to leave he saw how bright the sun was and made sure I had the protective shades to cover my eyes after being dilated. So if this review was based on David alone I would give 5 stars. But since it's not... you get 3 stars. And that's me being generous. Thank you David for everything.

The exam was very fast. The staff listened to my concerns and did their best to correct them. When it came to pick out glasses Tom was extremely helpful I had my sights set on a certain pair and he listened to that encouraged me to try on a few more just to make sure the ones I wanted were it. Ultimately a very good experience definitely will be coming back and recommending this location to friends and family.

I want to take a moment to recognize Garry for the outstanding care and attention he gave to my daughter Ava during her visit. All the staff we encountered were nice, but Garry stood out. What an incredibly kind, patient, and thoughtful human being. He took the time to make sure we were comfortable and understood everything. What stood out most was how genuinely invested he was in getting her prescription just right -- he didn't rush, he explained each step, and made sure we were cared for. It's rare to find someone who combines such professionalism with compassion and kindness. He's an absolute credit to the office, and we're so grateful for the way he went above and beyond and made us feel welcomed. A true treasure and his family is blessed to have him!
