Dr shaba has been a wonderful help for my wife's severe dry eyes. Dr shaba is a very caring knowledgeable eye professional. She has personally rearranged her schedule to accommodate my wife. She has come in to see her on her day off and has called her on a weekend when my wife was in pain. I should have visited Dr. Shaba years ago. She and her staff has significantly improved my dry eye situation. Dr, Shaba was thorough in examining my dry eye status, and she clearly explained it to me along with showing photos of my current status. I was particularly impressed with her reference to relevant research to support her information. Equally impressive is her staff. They are wizards at navigating insurance and finding sources for my medications at the best prices. Follow through is exceptional. Additionally, these are personable and friendly people to deal with. I saw three different doctors, and unfortunately none were able to successfully treat my eye condition. After 11 months of pain, eye fatigue, and constant discomfort that left me feeling irritable and exhausted, my optometrist referred me to Dr. Shaba. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Shaba and her team. I came in struggling with persistent dry eye issues, and from the very first visit I felt heard and supported. She was extremely thorough, explained my condition in a way I could easily understand, and created a treatment plan that actually worked after I spent countless of months searching for something to help me. The care and attention I received made a huge difference, and my eyes feel so much better. There was even a time where I called to just ask a question/concern about my eyes and Dr Shaba told me she'd squeeze in and to come that day so she could take a look and ease my mind. Truly an excellent doctor and office, I don't know where I'd be without her!

I had the best experience with Dr. Shaba! My eyes have been feeling dry and irritated lately and she very clearly explained what is going on and how I can improve them. By the time I left it felt like my eyes had a spa treatment! She's amazing! Highly recommend and everyone on her team is so professional!!!

All the positive reviews are why I went to see Dr. Shaba. I liked her. There were some red flags for me in my exam that made me feel uncomfortable, though. They really want to sell you product. She said I had an issue with debris from mites, and that I have rosacea. I didn't buy everything that they suggested because $. I did get 2 items, an eye soap foam and a spray. After buying I learned the $40 eye spray was a tiny bottle of hypochlorous acid at a lower concentration than the same spray I told them was part of my skin care routine. Hypochlorous acid spray is cheap, I felt bamboozled. I was given a $2k prescription for the mites issue. Both my regular eye doctor and the specialist I saw after Dr. Shaba were puzzled because they saw no evidence of a mites or debris issue. And rosacea was a mystery as no dermatologist or aesthetician I've seen had ever said that. When I shared that with Dr. Shaba she doubled down that I had rosacea. At the time I wondered if she was saying that to sell me IPL for my full face once I came in for the eye area treatment. The specialist I saw found a different cause of my dry eye problem that I will pursue with him. Clearly from these reviews she has helped a lot of people. Dry eye is terrible and I'm thankful they are getting what they need. Wanted to share my experience because something felt off in my visit, her diagnosis, and in the phone call I got from Dr. Shaba when I canceled my ipl appointments. Maybe she's gifted and the only doctor that can see these problems or maybe she treats every eye problem that exists and one of them ends up being the thing people need. Receiving treatment from the dry eye institute has allowed my eyesight to improve and see clearly. I am so amazed at the improvement. You do not need to suffer with dry eyes. I am so grateful for everyone at this office. They always made me feel comfortable.
