Before making my appointment, I read some of the older Google reviews -- and honestly didn't know what to expect. One person said they showed up 5-10 minutes before closing to shop for and order lenses and/or contacts while another was ready to call "Uncle Keith Ellison" to shut the place down over pricing, and by the tone of it all, I half expected to check in and see the staff drowning kittens while biting the heads off bats.
Instead, I walked into one of the smoothest, most professional experiences I've ever had. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and actually cared about getting everything right. My exam was thorough, my two pairs of glasses arrived in under two weeks (strong prescription and all), and both were perfect -- no adjustments, no headaches, no drama. If you want to have a horrible experience in a circus atmosphere, go to a VisionWorks in a mall or an internet website and order glasses.
Looking back at said reviews, I truly believe they were nut jobs. Why? This team crushed it. Highly recommend.
UPDATE: Dr. Bebe is the most unprofessional and disrespectful person ive ever talked to in the Healthcare industry. This place and Dr. Bebe refuse to book an mri for me even though they have now been sent 2 different urgent referrals.
I am convinced the staff here gets bonuses or commissions for refusing to help/book an appointment because boy do they make that their mission. I was referred here for an urgent mri and these people keep holding up the process up by not booking an appointment and claiming they never got my records faxed. The eye care place i used has sent it 3 times now and doesn't know what else they can possibly do. I belive part of the problem is the staff here doesn't take my symptoms seriously at all and seem to want to shrug it off like a common cold. I've gone blind in one eye, the entire right side of my head hurts, my speech randomly gets slurred and sometimes my legs dont work causing me to stumble or fall. I am trying to avoid the heavy cost or an ER visit, but may have to go that route since no one will help me. You would think with stuff this serious we could just book the appointment and they could figure out the fax stuff later, but that would require staff that isn't heartless.
I came in today, 8/2/22, and came in like 5-10 minutes before closing. Mind you, coming from the gym with my son, I walked into the optical store and told the lady her name was Pat or something like that, and another lady named Jess Sutton. As I approached the blonde lady, Pat, I was explaining why I was there. The lady in the back (Jess)that I wasn't even talking to stated in an unwelcoming rude tone that I had to bring in my replacement frames, but in the worst tone possible. I think she was in a rush to leave, but I proceeded to ask a few questions. At first, Pat, the blonde lady, was a little hesitant, or maybe she didn't understand what I wanted because both ladies were talking to me at the same time. After I told them how I felt, Pat ended up changing her tone, She listened to me, and I was able to get the answers I needed. As for Jess, she is the rudest, unwelcoming person I've ever encountered in the last 10 years at Park Nicollet. I'm sharing my experience because I also work in healthcare and this is unacceptable. Regardless of the time you come in, everyone needs to be treated with respect and provide a welcoming environment for patients.
$500 for a simple eye exam and to the best of my knowledge, refuses to honor a verbal estimate. A complaint has been filed with the Minnesota Attorney General.
Very helpful, professional staff. They no longer carried the brand of glasses I was looking for but they went above & beyond & were able to order them for me. Great customer service
Extremely rude staff have no interest in helping anybody in anyway they show no care in making the customer happy & giving them what they need. WORST STORE EVER.
Awesome staff, great place
