Went in for a glasses exam with the intent to buy frames. The front desk person rudely told me to sit down after my paperwork was done. I felt like I had to ask for permission to look at frames by the way she was behaving. I chose a few pairs to try. By the time I saw the technician, I had picked out 5 pairs. The technician rushed me through the options without discussing any costs as the frames didn't have price tags. After I chose a pair, I had to ask for the price. I was given a quote for over $500 for the frames, lenses, and exam plus retinal imaging; and that is with insurance applied. They acted like I was getting the deal of the century when they said I was given $200 off the total. I laughed at the technician and said there's no way in hell that I would spend the equivalent of a car payment on glasses. I asked them to print out my prescription so I can take it to Costco. You could tell they were not happy that I wasn't going to buy anything. Then there was an issue with the insurance and instead of paying $50 for the exam, I paid $91 in total. Because they also have a 3% fee if you use a credit card. Never coming back.

Totally deplorable how the Manager treats people. I have seen those of Diversity get treated so badly. She encourages staff to treat them badly as well. I saw a young lady walk in, insurance papers and all the right information get accused of forgery and fraud. She left in tears. I will never do business with such a racist business again. Truely deplorable.

Editing my review from 2 years ago. Unfriendly staff. Went in to have my records sent elsewhere. I've been a patient for 20+ years. Before I knew that my Dr had left, I called the number on the website and left a call back number in order to make an appointment. Never got a return call. When I found out that my Dr had left the practice, I went in to have our records transferred. I asked to speak to the manager to tell her why we were leaving after 20 years. I told her that I never got a call back and she proceeded to lecture me that I should have called the office directly. Was not interested in my reason for leaving---very rude. I turned and walked out.

I'm always impressed when I visit Yankee Eye Clinic. My family and I see Dr Grange who is great. My son, who's away at school, ordered glasses over the summer. He lost a lens and when I stopped by to find out what our options were I found out his glasses were still under warranty! When I picked up the lenses they put the lenses, which were in padding, in a glass case so they would be protected further when I shipped them.
I ordered glasses this winter and I'm so happy with the purchase.
