My vision was saved a few yrs ago, w/ surgery, care there. Teresa & other staff is patient, kind, precise. Grateful for the testing, exams, discussion. So lucky to have found this team!

Showed up for my appt that I took time off work for and they claimed I don't have any appts scheduled. Talked to the scheduler on the phone for a while about insurance things when I made the appt a month ago. I even have the call log on my phone as proof. They said they were already overbooked for the day (why?) and can't squeeze me in, even though they messed up. Won't be able to get in for weeks now.

I've had laser surgery to stop bleeding in my eyes, and had both cataracts removed. Dr Birkholz is the best!

Since you only really get one shot at replacing cataracts lenses, you have to get it right. I waited a year to post this review because they take time to settle down. This place was like a factory conveyer belt of patients and they didn't care less. they ignored my wishes and did the opposite. I was left worse off, need glasses for everything and can't drive at night. My perfect near vision has gone too. I deal with floaters on both eyeballs. I've had weird eye infections ever since, and the recommended drops were $4000 a month. I really wish I'd never got this done. I think the surgeon was good, but the quality of the lenses were junk. The assistant who talks you through lens selection was extremely rude and impatient. Clusters of Assistants were talking by the treatment rooms in really derogatory terms about other patients on more than one occasion, it was really loud and unprofessional. The appointment wait times were ridiculous. I couldn't drive myself after extreme dilation which I was not warned about. I wasn't able to get an Uber home & waited outside (because they closed), in the glaring sun for three hours, for a ride. They were hacked & had a massive security breach and did not inform their patients for months. When I asked why it took so long they said they had the wrong size envelopes to send out the letter. Yep, really. This place was meant to be the saving grace because the other Clinic in town was so abysmal. I would advise locals to go to the cities or elsewhere.

Went in due to having a metal object in my eye and they worked me in. Very grateful for such a kind and professional staff because im the type that would rather suffer than go into any Dr office. Mr Carpenter came in and did his magic and found that pesky object and removed it. If it ever happens again i will be coming back here.

Honestly the initial visit was great. Helped my 2 year old out in a last minute/urgent situation but when we can back for a scheduled recheck my husband waited an entire hour and the receptionist said that there was still a long wait ahead of them so they ended up leaving without being seen by the provider. We still got charged for seeing the eye tech. Come to find out they aren't allowed to turn patients away so if you have a scheduled appointment, you could wait hours to still be seen because of same-day appointments. I'm just disappointed in how they run their business despite having a positive experience with the provider (dr carpenter). Grateful for what they did for us in a pinch but won't be going back.

Wait for 1.5 hours. This isn't the first time I've had a bad experience with them. Poor customer service. Also- if you want contacts, you need to make several appointments with several different contact fittings. Even if you feel comfortable in certain contacts (and have been for years), they refuse to give you your contact prescription until they find a contact they think fits your eye the best. Even if you already paid for your exam.

Was really worried about our 2 1/2 year old getting examine because we have had bad/rude experiences with other nurses/doctors elsewhere; which created an anxiety for myself and my daughter. The receptionist was kind and friendly. The nurse was so patient and nice and Dr. Nathan was even better! They were all patient, kind, never pushed my daughter to do anything she didn't like or want to do but tried their best to get an accurate exam. He was very informative on what we were concerned about. Although we will have to go back again to finish up it was a great experience.
