This Shopko Optical did a great job resolving my initial insurance coverage issues. Thank you very much to Dakota who works there for going above and beyond, helping correct the issues and providing excellent service! I got the upgraded glasses with transition lenses, photochomatic lenses, anti-glare and transitions bi-focals. He was also able to give me the original glasses which were basic no-frills but nice to have as a spare. Dakota should be the manager there (maybe he already is?!). He was awesome! Thank you!

I scheduled an appointment online and then received a call two days beforehand saying the doctor had decided to take that day off. The next available appointment offered was several weeks later.
Many patients have to request PTO well in advance in order to attend medical appointments, so cancellations this close to the appointment date are not a minor inconvenience. They result in lost time and wasted PTO for the patient.
Online scheduling is only helpful if the availability being shown is actually reliable. I hope the office takes a closer look at how appointments are managed so patients' time is treated with the same consideration as the provider's. I will be taking my business elsewhere and would encourage others to do the same.

NOT FACING BROADWAY, BUT BEHING THIS BUILDING. Megan is very professional and skilled at working with glasses, but more importantly, working with PEOPLE. She wears glasses herself, so knows from personal experience how important it is to get glasses done right. Just received a bill for $4.50 for sales tax that was denied by the insurance. Shopko billed the insurance for the max amount then tried to get them to pay the sales tax too. When talking to the store they blamed it on their computer. We just wanted an explanation why this. If billed at the time of sale, we would have been fine paying it. The store employee finally said she wasn't going to argue with us and hung up. Have to say Very unprofessional!

Dr. Mindy Niemeier was fantastic, she took the time to thoroughly explain my eye exam results and answered all of my questions with patience and care. It was clear that she genuinely cares about her patients' eye health.
Leah, who helped me order my frames and contact testers, was also amazing. She offered great recommendations based on my preferences and she made the entire process easy. She was patient, knowledgeable, and made sure I found the perfect pair of lenses that suited my needs and wants.
The selection of frames at Shopko Optical is impressive, with plenty of choices to fit different styles. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my visit, and I highly recommend both Dr. Mindy Niemeier and Leah for their excellent customer service and expertise.

My experience was great! I am the type of person that has a hard time picking out glasses but Kattallina took the time to help me pick out a few frames and helped me pick out a cute pair! I definitely will go back for my eye exams in the future!
