I came here in December 2025 with a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses. I paid about $220 for Visionworks to replace the old lenses with prescription ones.
At the time, this seemed worth it. Prescription Ray-Bans are over $300, and the lenses were a little scratched anyway.
I picked them up about two weeks later and immediately noticed that they were in a case that didn't look like it should have fit them - and I was right. They didn't seem to fit the same way. They keep falling off my face and feel looser. The case that they were sent back in was too small and I think it was forced closed and squished the frames.
These are plastic frames, not metal ones, so re-shaping them isn't easy.
I waited to write this review because I was overall happy. They were polite, reasonably priced, and the glasses were ready when they said they would be. But every time I wear these glasses I get frustrated by this problem that, according to the internet, is not easily fixable.
The 2 gals that do intake and ordering for the glasses (been there a long time are very helpful) and the telemed people were very good, personable and nice. But the person who did the in store exam and equipment for the telemed I would give a 1 though. That day she had a smell, her hair was a mess and was obviously very dirty, and she has no social skills. No hello, give a dang, and was obviously was very unprofessional all the way around. I think she hates her job!
I booked an appointment for my 4-year old daughter a week and a half ago. Only to arrive to the appointment to be turned away.
*On the VSP website it states they see children age 0-5 years old.*
They sent multiple texts confirming my appointment, including a text confirmation the day before the appointment. They called once the day before the appointment at the same exact time the confirmation text was sent to me and did not leave a voicemail. They also did not text me that my appointment was cancelled - instead they CONFIRMED the appointment.
I took time off of work, loaded 3 toddlers up, and drove 15 min to the appointment. As well as they wasted a week and a half of our time waiting for this appointment.
My daughter wears glasses already. She's been to the eye doctor a few times in a different state before we moved here.
I am BEYOND angry about this. GET YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS RIGHT! The man who turned us away at the front desk was dismissive and less than apologetic. He claimed they must've had the wrong phone number but my wife had them read her the number and it was indeed correct.
DO NOT GO TO VISIONWORKS!
Edit update:
They just texted me again saying they're sorry I missed my appointment and automatically scheduled me a new one. Posting screenshot below. This is a horribly run office.

This place is a joke, I had called three times to get them to send me my eye prescription so i can order frames elsewhere and to visit a different eye clinic. Each time I called I was told that a manager was emailing my records over to me, in which I have never received. They also refused to let me give verbal consent for them to give my information to a family member in their office and stated I needed to call again to get my stuff sent to me or I can just come in the store to get it. Not easy when working full time and living an hour away. Seems as the manager and staff are lazy and not willing to help or willing to complete their job responsibilities.
ALSO, they will refuse to let you schedule with an onsite doctor, they only schedule you with telemedicine, which is highly unhelpful and do not get your prescription correct or adjust the prescription appropriately if you have an astigmatism.
My experience with Visionworks went well. I like the fact that you can do Virtual or in person visit with an Optometrist. They are very timely. The equipment is very up-to-date. I had no complaints.
I went in to pick out and order new glasses. I picked out a pair and took them to the desk to tell the young woman at the desk I wanted to order them. She told me to to wait where they fit people for glasses. My friend and I waited for well over half an hour while she waited on people who came in after us. I finally decided to leave without ordering the glasses. I'm giving two stars instead of one, because she was working alone. And really someone has to be at the desk all the time to talk to people when they come in. Only two stars because she was unpleasant. Vision Works needs to have at least two people working out front. And they need to be instructed to treat everyone with consideration.
One of the few places I've had the pleasure of visiting that actually deserves a 5 star rating! This was my 1st time buying glasses, so naturally I was a little nervous...my salesperson Cole, reassured me that I had come to the right place, and then proceeded to prove that by making getting glasses a great experience! I had arrived with 2 coupons,
one offered 2 new pair for $99, and the other was 60 % off a single pair...We 1st tried using the latter 1st, but when we couldn't stay in my budget, he was able to get me 1 single pair of great glasses for just over $100 with tax! I was quite relieved to say the least, because 2 pair was def. going to "break the bank"! I am now awaiting my email from Cole that will tell me my glasses have arrived from where they're made...something tells me they'll be worth the one week wait! All in all a GREAT experience that I would highly recommend for ANYONE who needs glasses!!
I was told by one of techs on 09/09/2025 (girl with pinkish hair and an attitude) that I don't need another eye exam to order my contacts that I brought with me. Turns out I cannot since there is some difference between the prescription and the contacts I have (these contacts were approved by the optometrist that examined me). When I asked If I can see the optometrist as scheduled (I had scheduled an eye exam) they said it is way past the appointment time now.
If you guys are busy and want to talk people out of their eye exam please have valid reasons and knowledge, this is a big liability!
Oh and btw smiling is free :D
