Future Patients Be Aware I've had cataracts in both eyes and underwent surgeries at MEC over the past two years. The medical care itself has been excellent--when you're actually in the building, the doctors and clinical staff are skilled, attentive, and professional. Why Only 2 Stars? The business office is extremely difficult to reach for any questions about billing or insurance. There is no direct phone line, email, or online chat. The only option is to leave a voicemail and wait for a call back. As someone in my 30s who works full-time, I can rarely answer these return calls during business hours. Each time, I'm left a voicemail asking me to call the same main number, and the cycle repeats. Over the past two years, I've spent at least five hours trying to resolve simple billing questions. It feels as though the system is designed this way--optimized for Medicare patients who may not need to worry about costs, while making it unnecessarily difficult for other patients to have transparent conversations about pricing or insurance coverage. Advice: If you're younger, cost-conscious, want to confirm insurance coverage ahead of time, or expect patient-centered communication outside the exam room, consider looking at other providers.

I was extremely pleased with Minnesota Eye Consultants - Woodbury location. Dr. Christine Larsen performed my cataract surgeries. She was absolutely wonderful. Dr. Larsen was very professional, patient, and thoroughly explained the procedure. I also need to give a shout out to Kim, who was my nurse for both surgeries. She calmed my nerves and offered kindness and patience. In addition, Michelle (scheduler) was great. She quickly responded to the many questions I had prior to the surgeries.

My experience at Minnesota Eye Consultants was overwhelmingly positive. Everyone I came in contact with was professional, courteous and kind. Dr. Larson performed my cataract surgeries and with her description of what was going to happen eased my nerves and allowed me to go into the procedure brimming with confidence of a positive outcome. There were no surprises and to-date all has gone according to plan. Recommend.

Dr. Bubholtz was wonderful. He took the time to explain my dry eye thoroughly and answered all my questions. I am so much better informed and very glad and grateful to have a treatment plan going forward. Dr. Bubholtz was patient and kind. I'm so grateful.

I needed Dr. Gill understanding of my situation. She was excellent in talking and listening to my concerns reassuring me in with my present situation. Deeply appreciated her professional manner.

Answered my questions, i just don't remember exactly what my questions were. Very kind to patients, very knowledgeable. Prognosis was optimistic but i'm higher risk which i didn't know about, so i need to have more frequent eye exams.. And thank you to Pearle Vision doctors for catching this problem.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The Doctor was professional and answered the questions I had. I would recommend them for all your eye needs.

The staff and Dr Liaboe were awesome. My cataract surgery was handled with great care and outstanding communication along the way. Highly recommend this location.
