Southern Eye Care of Vicksburg

Would not give any star if possible but the optometrist is mediocre. I went in had a eye exam and picked out glasses . They said the glasses would be ready in two weeks ? I had to call myself because they never called to let me know they were in? I came in person and the staff was trying to give me a pair of glasses with smudged lenses and a broken spring in the left arm? They said that's how they were supposed to be? I told them I would not accept them as they were so they told me they would send off for new frames? It's been over four weeks and still have not gotten the glasses I had paid for? Called earlier today and the said it would be the middle of January before they came in ? I would rate this the most horrible service in optometry because I even called the doctor during all this and apparently was not much he could do to make it happen? I'm considering making a complaint with the board of optometry... After receiving the glasses back I noticed the horrible job they did gluing the arm in the frame and not plumb? Remind you these were supposed to be new frames I had paid for. I do not recommend.... Left arm, which are the last two pictures I just uploaded the other side for comparison.

I love Southern Eye Care, my family & I have been going here for the pass 3 years. The staff is so welcoming and very respectful! The Doctor is great with my kids & so are the staff. Keep doing an amazing job! The Friday's

I will never use this eye doctor ever again. He is slow and takes forever. I have also waited over a month for my glasses and they have no clue when they will be in. This place is just making money off of marketplace insurance and not rendering good service in a timely manner. I learned a valuable lesson and I won't go back. Just sharing my experience to make others aware - go to a better eye doctor.

They always had great service and the are friendly, has great frames

We had such a wonderful experience at this office! The eye doctor was patient, thorough, and made my son feel completely comfortable. The glasses team helped him pick out frames that he actually feels confident wearing, and the receptionists were kind and welcoming from the moment we walked in. You can truly tell they care about their patients. We're so grateful!

Receptionist is very unprofessional Ms. Heather. Ordered extra contacts, made the payment before they came in . Picked up when they came in and all was fine. She made it clear I had to pay before I got them. Received a bill. Call to discuss it and Ms. Heather hung up the phone on me . Which is fine, but why would I receive a product from you if it's not paid in full. I suggest the staff is monitored, especially Ms. Heather! Would not recommend to anybody & I have been going to Collins for years

The Staff is Very Nice and courteous.

Feb 2026 New optician it's just as good as Dr Collins. The wait time was reasonable, and all the staff are super nice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this business to anybody. July 29, 2023.. Yet another great visit to Southern Eye Care of Vicksburg. Had to update some paperwork, but even so, was able to get the appointment started a few minutes before my scheduled time. Dr. Collins has a great memory of his patients (who you are and what your interests are) and is an exceedingly qualified optometrist. He has a great ability to put you at ease and thoroughly explains best options for achieving or maintaining good vision. He has a great staff and Heather always makes sure to get the maximum amount from insurance. Once again, I would highly recommend them to friends, family, and anyone reading this review. July 2022..Dr. Collins and his staff were both friendly and professional. Did not feel like I was being hurried and felt I was in good hands during the entire appointment. Would happily recommend them to anyone.
