America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

While I've been visiting this location for years+ and they helped me resolve Rx related migraines; I was finally able to get my spouse to agree to his very first exam! Self pay - okay! They were super informative, not pushy. They went thru the process of the exam and Rx, looking at sets of glasses. We were able to receive a referral for some more in depth tests due some possibly concerning irregularities found. It's great to have a start point for our continued journey. There was two gentlemen working that really went above and beyond, the exam assistant and the sales manager(?). Spouse was very nervous about even going and those two made it comfortable/ professional/ easy.

I recently visited the America's Best location on hwy 40 in Independence, MO. This was my first time buying/wearing contacts and Myra Thompson was very patient and helpful when showing me how to put them in! Both doctors I saw here were also very nice. Overall I had a great experience!

I had a great experience at America's Best in Independence, Missouri! I brought in my son's broken glasses, and they fixed them with no hesitation. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Huge shout-out to Chris -- you are amazing! Thank you so much for the quick help. Their customer service is truly top-notch. Everyone is friendly, and they greet you the second you walk through the door. It's clear they care about their customers, and it makes the whole experience stress-free. Highly recommend!

I arrived at this store at the last minute-I was greeted by a man named Chris upon my walk in and when I showed him my damaged pair of glasses he was ready to help with no question. This location is very polite and Chris was very efficient and knowledgeable about his profession. He is a life saver because nowhere else was open to repair my glasses. My experience at this location was a solid 10/10. I will definitely be a new customer!

I went here to get an eye exam only, asked the doctor before hand if she could put the P.D on the paper. She said she doesn't have the machine to do so and the people in the front are willing to do so when we check out. When we get to the front. I don't know if Chris (with the Rayquaza shiny tattoo on his right arm) was having a bad day but he extremely rude to us (clearly not if he's being so friendly and sweet to his female co-workers). He says we cannot have the P.D added to the prescription. I told him the doctor said you can do it for us. Then he says for one time courtesy he will. Then decides to give us the previous P.D from 2019 instead of what we had agreed with a new P.D. I've been going to this place for awhile now, but after Chris' rude attitude/demeanor and extremely poor customer service, we will not return here.

I used to only use ABC and changed once I discovered Eyemart express, same day glasses for the exact same price and they are friendlier! I came back to ABC on the 2nd due to no appt with my normal eye doctor. I walked in and was greeted with disappointment, she seemed so let down she had another appointment. it was really bad when my husband and child walked in a few moments after me and she thought it was a separate family with more people to help! I quickly informed her they were with me. Her exact response was oh good i thought i had an additional appointment on top of everything else i have to do. Eye appointment with the doctor, was fast efficient, assembly style which was fine. get me out asap! Fast forward to me picking my glasses out. Well, i felt rushed 100%. There was also no where to sit without clutter due to the same lady sorting orders im assuming. I sit down to have her try to upsell me and once i denied thats where it got awkward. I told her these were just my back up glasses until i can get in to my real eye doctors and she proceeded to tell me that their doctors there were adequately trained and for 6 years at that. i was so confused by her comment because all I said was i didnt want to add anything. At that point it was a cold shoulder up until i left. The sad thing is , it was the assistant manager this whole time. Her name was Ashley, I believe. the whole interaction from start to finish was odd. I was confused because if everyone took their business elsewhere and they closed that location, they would all be out of a job. I am very confused by the level of customer service my family was provided. especially when i ended up spending $100 more than I do at EyeMart. This is definitely an odd experience, I called to check on my glasses they wont be here until 230 on Tuesday which is a day later than the receipt shows and the manager is asking to speak with me when I do come in? I feel like this is all turning into something due to a review of my experience. I also feel if the "manager" was truly concerned he would have tried to reach out beforehand.

I was the first appointment October 15 2025 and was completely out of there with a thorough eye exam and my order glasses done before 10am. The first man did my preliminary eye exam before ,I saw the doctor. Then the doctor who did a very thorough exam and then the sweetest young lady who helped me pick my glasses. All three of these people were very nice and thoughtful in their duties. TIP. FILL OUT YOUR QUESTINARE STRAIGHT FROM YOUR PHONE, IT SAVE EVERYONE TIME. Absolutely recommend. Less than 30 minutes for me

Allison was very informative she answered all of my question and she was very polite. I am so glad she waited on me she took her time I was not rushed at all. I am so glad I decided to go to this location of America's Best. What an enjoyable experience. Thanks again Allison. Tell your boss you deserve a raise or at the least a Christmas bonus!!
