Staff is all very pleasant and knowledgeable! I'm quite inquisitive and asks a lot of questions. Dr. Fann takes the time to answer my questions and is very through. I have been a patient about 4 years and I've never had a bad experience! Ron Tate- Kansas City

Dr. Wongs is an excellent surgeon with incredible bedside manner and Dr. Kramer is an excellent optometrist. The amount of time they've spent with us is unheard of. Their clinical staff is fantastic.

The receptionist at the brookside location is FANTASTIC! I believe her name is Carrie. She knows who I am when I call. She answers all of my questions. She readily finds out anything I need to know. She knows her stuff and will most definitely take care of your needs from her end. SHE-SPECIFICALLY- is the reason I go to this location!

My boyfriend's primary eye care provider recommended cataract surgery. Life got in the way, and a year later we started looking into providers. We live in the Brookside area, so Grin Eye Care came up in our search. He called to make an appointment and noticed how gruff the person on the other end of the line was. Not a big deal, but not a stellar first impression. We came in a week later for his 2:00 p.m. appointment, and had all the new patient paperwork filled out by 2:10. During that time, I listened to the front desk representative work with people on the phone and heard firsthand what he meant by "gruff." She wasn't inappropriate, just loud and brusque to the point of bordering on rude. The purpose of our appointment was to speak with a doctor about the process of cataract surgery, what recovery is like, their experience, pricing, whether they could do both eyes at once, etc. A very kind woman gave him a basic eye exam (reading the letter chart) before putting us in a back waiting room, which smelled uncomfortably like cigarette smoke. This was most likely due to one of the other three people waiting, so I won't hold it against Grin Eye Care, but it did make me wonder how long those patients had been sitting there. We waited from about 2:20 until 2:55. At that point, two of the three people waiting announced that they were "not waiting any longer" and headed for the door, where they were quickly ushered into another room. We waited 10 more minutes, and when we still hadn't been seen, we left. The facilities seemed very nice and up to date. The woman who provided the eye exam was kind and approachable. I have no doubt the doctors are top-notch and provide great results. Unfortunately, first impressions matter, and for us, it wasn't acceptable to still be waiting an hour past our appointment time.

Great patient care, very professional staff. I appreciate the efficiency in the visit; in and out in less than an hour. I'll see you again next year!!

I had a problem with one of my eyes. Dr. Fann gave it a careful and thorough exam, diagnosed the issue, prescribed some drops, and the issue cleared up within 48 hours. Everyone in the office is highly professional and caring.
