Dr. Silverstein is wonderful! He is very informative, empathetic, thorough, and truly cares for his patients. The staff is wonderful and makes sure you are comfortable. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else! They truly treat you like family and make sure that you are informed about what is going on and what they are testing for. I would give 6 stars if I could!

Excellent experience. Dr. Silverstein is informative, thorough & has empathy with his patients. The staff is the BEST in town! 5overall. Even though I have a chronic eye disease, he has done everything he and his staff have done everything they can to make improvements my vision. I appreciate that!

The guy is a whirlwind. He comes into the room spouts off Dr speak for what is wrong and what the prescription and instructions should be. The nurse writes it down and then they go to check you out. No one bothers to translate what just happened or how to use the medicine or treatment. This has now happened 3 times. We tried to quit him as a dr but my daughter had an urgent problem and he could get us in quick. I really dislike going there though.

About Steven M. Silverstein MD FACS

Dr. Steven Silverstein received his training in ophthalmology at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. He then completed his sub-specialty fellowship in corneal transplantation and external diseases at the Kellogg Eye Center, University of Michigan, where he also served as clinical professor. A board-certified ophthalmologist and fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Silverstein is active in a number of professional medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Midwest Cornea Society, the Kansas City Society of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, the Missouri Medical Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
