I don't know about the doctor but the staff is horrible.
Someone had already entered my order into the computer, all they needed to do was click "send". After THREE trips there, I just gave up and went to a different Walmart.
The first trip, I was there 9:15am, shortly after they were supposed to open. The lights were off but there was someone back there (black middle aged woman). I asked when it would be open, and she tried to pretend she didn't work there, said she didn't know when "they" would be open.
I said I would shop around for 20 minutes and come back. Lo and behold, the she was really an optical worker, lights still off but she had her name tag on. I said, I promise I'm super easy, they already entered my order in the computer. She told me the computers weren't working, to come back another day. I didn't believe her, but whatever.
I also noticed the phones were ringing off the hook, she wasn't answering.
I came back next day, and the lights were off again (this time it was closer to 11am) but the ropes weren't up. I just thought the lights were dim, so I walked in and she started yelling at me that I wasn't allowed in there.
I told her again I already everything was in the computer, I just needed someone to place the order, and she told me they didn't take my insurance. She didn't even know my name, how could she know that??? And, the preapproval was already in the computer. But she refused to bother even looking it up on the computer.
I came back a third time, hoping for another employee, but once again saw the same lazy worker chasing off a different customer (I could tell she was also giving them some load of bull). And once again, phone ringing off the hook, and she just ignored it. I just left. I swear, some people work harder at not working than if they just did their job.
I went to another Walmart - nice staff no problems at all, beautiful pair of glasses, no problems with insurance, whole process took maybe half an hour. So my recommendation is any Walmart Vision except this one.
The doctor may be too old ! I went there for a med check, which I was informed would cost $50. The doctor got there late and when he arrived, he saw me there with a clip board and called me back and proceeded to do an exam for glasses. I wear contacts. I certainly didn't ask for any exam let alone one for glasses. He won't admit that he made a mistake. They made me pay $95 then the girl who answered the phone said that for $42 more I could get a contact lens prescription. I called again before going to pick it up. The first girl said that it would be $51 more, when she got her boss. That lady told me that the doctor doesn't want my business anymore! Also, I asked the doctor about having dry eyes and his response was "well there's not alot we can do about that, ya know" There are ads on tv for dry eye scripts all of the time. DR. LITTLEFIELD SHOULD PROBABLY RETIRE!!!
I have been bringing my kids here for years as well as i have my eyes examined here to. They have AMAZING eye doctors!! (Which is the ONLY reason we go back) The staff you have to deal with to get to the amazing doctors is a joke. While making an appointment this morning, i was placed on hold 3/4 times (no big deal right) , the woman who answered didnt have the time to schedule an appointment. (Wasnt mad, continued to hold) i finally get someone, (13mins later) tell them i would like to make an appointment for my son instead of asking a date or time i was told "if you dont have his member id for insurance we cant even make the appointment, we cant even pull up a date so when you have that ready call us back." (Noones asked me if i have this info yet) I caught her before she hung up with, No, no no no. Not only has my son been her multiple times but i have his card out and handy. The woman was clearly annoyed and guess what?? Was able to pick a date and look at the calendar WITHOUT the ID. (Its really less of the id# and more of the lack of professionalism Each and everytime.)
Do not advertise that you open at 9, if you're not going to open at 9. Got a call that my glasses were ready to be picked up. I have now come up here TWICE during posted business hours just to have them not be opened. If I didn't already purchase my glasses, i would never be returning to such a poorly ran location.
I broke the plastic nose piece and without asking the lady took my glasses fix them (the product was on shelf to buy yourself) cleaned them and only charged me the price of the nose piece.
Change your hours on google, I came up yesterday to pick up my glasses only to find out they closed an hour early, then I try again today 1:46pm, "open from 11am to 4pm", AND they're closed!
They make excuses to take longer then what it's supposed to be. Very rude and will contact corporate
