Walmart Vision & Glasses

I stopped in today as my eye glasses were not fitting properly. Robert adjusted them for me and the fit now is great. Thank you, Robert for your time and great customer service.

The woman working at the Walmart Optical center today was the most unhelpful person i have ever encountered. She refused to sell me a pair of frames to have the lenses put in elsewhere. I didn't realize you could deny someone of purchasing something? I will be calling Walmart to file a complaint. Middle aged middle eastern woman. Hope you have the day you deserve. UPDATE: I called to file a complaint and the woman that helped me answered, put me on a hold and didn't pick back up. I called again and was told Irma was her name... and she's the manager. I thought maybe Irma was having an "off" day but after reading reviews I realize this is pretty common for her. Does Walmart not want people purchasing glasses from their optical department? Very confusing. Irma shouldn't be working in customer service.

The associates here are so kind, i love Robert. He's great. The Doctor himself is great with my 6 year old son, he's one of a kind. Handsome too lol. The only problem i have with this location is that it's most likely to be understaffed and busy, so we have to wait a while to be helped which is sometimes an inconvenience, and hard to get appointments after work. Nobody wants to work now days so i get it, my job is the same. But overall, the people here is what makes this practice worth visiting! Glasses are ready super quick as well! Thank you all :)

The glasses came in and everything was blurry, they refused to reorder me apair and wanted to bend then all up so I could see,after admitting to sales person put in the wrong strength on order,now what am I gonna do with glasses I can't see out of??? Got me a refund ,and the manager at barry road was rude, and started talking to a friend on the phone and pushed us off on another employee.

My first experience there with the optician was bizarre. That's all I can say. Then my wife recounted hers yesterday & explained how flippant he was about a serious eye disease...little empathy. Then I looked at some of the negative reviews here and decided to use a different optometrist & vendor. Added note: a middle-aged man with a beard answered a question I had while I was at Walmart and he was very helpful.

I had my eye appointment yesterday. The appointment itself went great! But during check out it took over 1 hr and 30 minutes and the problem wasn't even resolved. The receptionist did NOT get the accurate insurance information from my insurance agents. It was a waste of time and time-consuming that i had to do their job and call my insurance to go over my benefits. They got my benefit information and authorization code through the automated system which it was incorrect! I had 3 agents verifying my account and benefits and it did not match with whatever they had written down. I felt discriminated when the receptionists tried to compared their insurance plan with my current plan. I do NOT pay for an economic or cheap plan. Rob said " i have been working here for 15 years and my VSP plan does not cover certain things" yes the cheap plan it does NOT, but i pay almost $40 dollars for my plan to cover for contact lenses, glasses, eye exams, fitting, LASIK, etc. ! I did NOT liked the rudeness of Rob. He called me on Saturday before my appointment asking " what I understood about my appointment". I thought it was rude to approach me like that they mistakenly put my appointment for 1pm and 2pm. If the receptionist can't even put my appointment time in the system correctly how do i supposed to trust they are getting my insurance information accurately or entering my information in the system correctly. The receptionist tried to contact my insurance last minute Saturday morning hrs before my appointment and since they were not able to reach a representative they went blindly with false information trying to charge me extra. It was upsetting. My insurance agents did confirmed someone from Walmart called twice hrs before my appointment.

I walked in there today to look at frames. Irma the store clerk was rude, short, and cut me off. She was so rude in fact the customer ahead was helping apologized on her behalf when she went into the office. She refused to schedule me an appointment same day stating rudely " their are openings, but the dr has to see customer's with appointments first do you want an appointment for tomorrow." When I asked stopped and asked why she immediately was rude and short to me reminding her she had done the same thing just the week prior when I walked in to look she just said "yeah" as if she remembered me and didn't care. There were a few other rude touch points, but when I stopped and asked why she was blatantly rude to me she avoided the question and I was like I would like to know why you are treating me in such a manner as her behavior was not becoming of someone who represents the store. She just rolled her eyes and at that point states " I don't know what you're going on about oh I can put you in at 6:30 today." When I got up and told her I no longer wanted her services she acted as if she didn't care about her behavior and causing a customer to walk out. I stated to her as I left " you should really treat people better you never know who's a person is." She rudely stated "thanks for the advice." 2 separate interactions with Irma and she was blatantly rude for absolutely no reason other than my appearance. She is doing customers and Walmart a disrespect by being the front line customer facing associate. Irma needs to be removed immediately for her behavior.

MY whole family has been coming here for years. We love everything about this office especially how patient everyone is with our younger kids. There are some things that aren't perfect but it has more to do with the volume of customers they attempt to serve rather than the quality of service. The wait times can be lengthy as they try to greet everyone and keep things moving. They also almost never answer the phone most likely due to the large foot traffic they have in office. The remodel at this location is a huge upgrade and the expansion of frame options is amazing. Long story short is sometimes you have to have patience if you want great service. A positive attitude doesn't hurt either. We will be coming back!!!!
