I went blind in my left eye 2 months after I had covid. I saw a retina specialist first and the doctors at the retina place never could tell me why I lost vision. I decided I needed to see an ophthalmologist as well. During the visit he made me feel guilty about being blind in my eye. He told me I went blind due to Cholesterol issues. He said he knew this for sure. My retina specialist doctors told me they could not tell me. Then he proceeded to show me on x-rays that my other eye was at risk. He then sold me a supplement for 100.00 that he claimed would take care of my good eye. It was very upsetting and decided I would never go back there.

I'm very thankful for this office and Dr. Wiles! The office staff is very friendly and helpful. I appreciate and am very grateful they were able to take care of me right away when I had a torn retina that required surgery same day. Dr Wiles is worth the wait if you're looking for a top notch doctor.

Don't worry about showing up on time to your appointment. They have no respect for your time. 2 hours later still sitting here. Most of these patients don't have Alot of time left and here they are making you fall asleep in a waiting room for 2 hours. While the doctor is sitting here hanging out talking about clothes in the hallway... Are we serious?

Wiles Eye Center does provide experienced service. What they don't do is stand behind the prices they quote for services, so beware. They recommended a service which they repeatedly told me would cost me $500. I agreed to said service and immediately paid the $500 and had the procedure done. Few weeks following, I received an invoice for $489. I sent two written letters which were never acknowledged and then finally I went in personally to ask them about this balance. They simply came back and said there is nothing we can do. Of course at this point it leaves me no choice but to pay the amount to save credit as I had no other recourse. I immediately cancelled all future appointments and will never do business with them again because they are not honest and do not stand behind what they say.

I went here after my cornea was scraped, did a follow up and got an updated glasses prescription. Each time I go the wait has been long. The person didn't warn me I now need bifocals?! Or maybe it was a typo. My new prescription seems a little off. Dr. Wiles did seem knowledgeable and helpful on the cornea issue. But I don't plan to go back. With so many options, why settle?

I took my mother to Dr. Wiles and the wait is extremely long. We had an appointment at 3pm and we left 2.5 hours later. There was a lot of elderly in the waiting room and it seems as though we are all scheduled at the same time. If we've known about the waiting time, we definitely would've gone somewhere else. An elder had an oxygen tank and he was frustrated because he thought he would run out of O2. Dr. Wiles also only saw us for 5 minutes of the entire time we were there. Do not recommend.

I started going to see Dr. Wiles in March of 2009. At that point, I was 29 and had almost completely lost my vision in my right eye. I have a strange condition that will never go away but thanks to Dr. Wiles, I can see!! I get to watch my son grow up! He and his staff will never truly understand how much I appreciate them for this gift. I love the staff in his St. Joseph location. They are always friendly and knowledgeable. I always try to recommend them to anyone in need of a great ophthalmologist.
