I've been a Gerry Optical patient for 13 years. The staff was always kind and welcoming when I'd come in - very personable. I've had eye exams here and have order contacts and glasses through Gerry Optical without any issues. I've also walked in without an appointment to have my frames readjusted a few times - this was done within minutes! Dr. Samuel has been wonderful. I'm sad to have to find a new eye doctor due to not living in the Liberty, MO area, but I highly recommend this location and will always appreciate the services I've received.

My family and I have done business with Gerry Optical for nearly 12 years! The good doctor, Gary and all of the staff are super friendly, fun to work with and fast in getting our glasses. Last week, my sun glass clip was scratched and lost a magnet out of it - Gary had the one scratched clip repaired for a back up complimentary and had my new clip to me within 4 days from the order and at 1/2 price. Took my daughter here for first time on Saturday April 29, 2017. I must say from my first contact with the staff making the appointment to checking insurance coverage was AMAZING!! So very helpful. The day of her appointment the staff and Dr Samuel was TERRIFIC!! What a experience for mom and daughter. I HIGHLY recommend this place. My customer service experience was wonderful! I enjoyed the wide selection of frames that they offer also. I found a great frame for a good price and got them ordered. As of today it has been 2 and 1/2 weeks since they placed my order and my glasses still aren't ready...some mix up with the frame, but I was told this at the beginning of the week. Now it's Friday afternoon and they still aren't sure whether they will be ready. Super frustrating since I paid for them in full when they were ordered, maybe if I had made a partial payment and then paid when I received it might have been expedited.

Gerry Optical used to be one of the better optical shops in Kansas City but this time around, it took three months to get glasses and when they finally came in, the woman working in the store was in too big a hurry to be courteous and do a proper adjustment. She said she had 1 1/2 hours till store closing but acted like it was five minuets. I say this as someone who worked in an optical shop for five years, so I know what I'm talking about.

If you've had LASIK, save your time. They won't see you. When you call for an appointment, they state that they can see you, however, you show up for your appointment, they will decline. Don't waste your time!
